Hey everyone,
I've been able to beat "Like the Wind" using my Minolta, but am having trouble beating the Indy 500 enduro.

Is it because my B-spec levels are too low?

B-spec is at 28 (halfway to 29) and my drivers are either level 24 or 25.

Thanx guys!

Get a more powerful car, that's pretty much how to win any Bspec race or go to the tuning forum and find a good tune for it.

Use racing soft tires, set your Pit Strategy to OFF, and make sure your top speed is set to at least 242mph. From there, try to keep your driver's pace up until you have the lead. Pit only for fuel, and FILL up the tank when you do pit.

With the Minolta, you should easily win this. Turn off pit strength and like the above poster said, find a good tune. You can win this with a level 0 bob

Strange, the Minolta should easily outrun any car on the track. Set your top speed higher. One thing I really hate when my drivers run at Indy is they constantly brake in the turns. Why why why? lol

set downforce to max

FGT completely decimates it. Your B-Spec level shouldn't really matter much, if at all. I haven't run the Minolta on this one but I would pretty much agree with what's already been said above. I'd try setting the downforce to max and you could try lowering the brake settings too. It might help with those corners you mention though there are plenty of tunes about so it wouldn't be difficult to get ones that're proven to work.

Ok, i'm gonna give it another shot. someone mentioned to get a more powerful car, but i "only" have 3mil in credits right now. I would think the Minolta is plenty powerful.

You shouldn't need a lot of credits if you have friends who play the game too. A lot of people on here have set some decent cars to share. Just go in to 'profile' from the A-spec/B-spec/Dealership screen and click on one of your friends, if they have any cars shared they will be listed and you can use them.

I borrowed an X2010 to do the Indy 500. I was going to use my Formula GT, but figured that I'd win it easily using the Formula GT so I might aswell win it easily and quicker by borrowing something faster.

This race has no car restrictions, so winning it is a matter of getting a better car. The forum has a lot of great tunes for indy, since it's used for grinding. Apply an MR tune to the Cien if you don't want to buy a car. Ford GT Race Car SpecII and Minolta are other prize cars that are excellent for this race. ZR1 with RM is a good budget option. Remember to assign a single driver and not set up pitting for driver strength depletion.

If you can't get it with your Minolta.... Add me, I have an x10 shared that will win for sure in about 2:11.

My first Indy 500 was in FGT, my bobs kill'em all mercy less without any attention from my side (12 laps over the second)... the second one (yesterday) I want to break in my all new 908-hdi-frakkin-fap, and they won but with more babysitting and by less margin (5 laps over the second... and I don't know what will happen if they were "alone").

My Minolta, with a level 3 turbo upgrade, is doing the trick as I type. My 'cheat car' (the one I got for pre-ordering off amazon), the Mazda 787 Stealth, was, for the first time ever, too slow.

Go to the tuning shop, there is a god tune for the 787 stealth and it will walk this race, it will hold 240 mph all day long slowing to 200 for the corners, and the sound in the pits when fuelling is awsome.

this should be easy with the minolta. full downforce, fully lowered, set max speed to about 240, use soft tires and add a larger blower to get 1040hp. oil change and it should be an easy win.

I won that race with my Minolta. I left it there for a while and about 50 laps from the end I was 2 laps behind an R8 and I just started pushing my weakest driver as hard as i could, caught up and when my best driver came back he just finished it off.
