What's the best car for Indy 500
Not the X2010
Edit: sorry it's for b-spec if that makes any difference.

If you're doing Indy to grind then it's the Ford GT test car in the GT dealership at 3.6 mil. Used in the American Championships at level 22 IIRC.

The Corvette RM cars with some tuning can also do well here at a much lower cost.

Otherwise the X2010 is fun to hold wide open with tall gearing working on getting better and better at drafting up to the faster cars to reach 300 MPH. I think I've topped out at 298 or so.

If by "best" you mean "most rapidly get it over with" and/or "most easy to win with", the Formula GT is the next best thing to the X2010. You should easily win with the AI finishing several laps down.

I used the FGT for the event because that was the closest option to an Indy car. I didn't look to see what the AI would be using and just presumed it would logically be FGTs, but it wasn't. I stuck with the FGT anyway just because it was the closest car in GT5 to what would run the actual Indy 500, but the FGT obliterated the AI.

I used the Minolta first around and the the X2010 for subsequent attempts.
But yeah, any Group C car, LMP (except for the R10 :yuck:) or the FGT will do you fine.

Just about any LMP - Group C car can win this race...

My take would be the XJR-9, just because it looks gorgeous :)

The FGT is as close to an open wheeled Indy car in the game so that is what I used the first time.......

Did the picture not give a clue as to what the AI would be using?

And I read that as 500 miles Indianapolis, not Indy 500. PD can't call it the Indy 500 as they don't have the license for it.

i wish i was able to get the FGT or the X2010. i dont have time to grind.....it sucks. 20 mil is ridiculous considering you dont get but at most 200k in a race, and that's for an endurance race......
