The 2011 Infiniti M made its world debut at the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show. The 2011 M Class is offered with two distinct power levels. At the top of the heap is the Infiniti M56S powered by a 420 HP 5.6 Liter VVEL Direct Injected V8 followed by the more practical Infiniti M37 with a 330 HP 3.7 Liter VVEL V6 under the hood.

Both versions of the M Class luxury sedan are offered with rear wheel drive or Infiniti’s Intelligent All Wheel Drive system as well as an array of advanced technology systems from the Japanese automaker like Active Noise Control, Forest Air climate control, Infiniti Drive variable driving modes, Active Trace Control, Eco Pedal and enhanced Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System.

The new M has a design inspired by the Infiniti Essence concept car. While its predecessor's exterior was described as forgettable, the 2011 M has curves influenced by Jaguar and Maserati.

The 5.6L V8 VK56VD in the Infiniti M56S makes it competitive with other V8 mid-luxury (executive) cars such as the BMW 550i and Mercedes-Benz E550.The 5.6L V8 is not shared with its Japanese domestic market counterpart, the Nissan Fuga, as Nissan opted instead to have the hybrid version as the performance option.

Shame that Nissan didn't continue on with using the VK56VD with the Fuga.

...This or a Hyundai Genesis: which one to take home....

Answer: Neither. I got eyes, you know...

Okay, okay, seriously now. I voted, 'cuz that interior looks real cozy. Love the wood veneer, especially. 👍
