So, I'm on holidays for a while and got a bit bored.
While playing Dirt 2 I decided I wanted a handbrake that was seperate from my MOMO wheel. I don't have the electronics and engineering know-how of a lot of you guys, so my only real option was to use an old joystick which sits under my desk.
So, with only the materials I could find in the shed (which is more than you might think!) I made this:
The way it works is very simple. You pull the pole and a little lever moves down, pressing on the Joystick button. Instant handbrake.

The self-returning mechanism (aka Rubber Band):
Obviously it needs a lick of paint to make it look a bit nicer, but as of now, it works and is great fun.
