Inside or Outside?

So, when you are going for the pass, which side do you prefer? Passing to the inside of the Ai or the outside?

I think it depends on the track. But that's just me.

Of course, it depends on the circumstances. If the car in front goes wide, I slip quickly down the inside. If they're hogging the racing line, but going WAY too slowly, I whip around the outside.

Outside is more fun though 👍

Mostly, I pass on the inside, or try to. There's a few times when I've managed to pass on the outside, especially during situations when the Ai brakes way too early or too much. This makes for extra time to navigate towards the outside and deal with the extra time it takes to make an outside pass.

Some cars are vastly incapable of doing this, however, especially those which understeer massively. Cars with super-flexible natures such as Elises and Clio Sports can pass anywhere!

I like passing on the outside. Just more fun, especially if it's a long wide corner in a class C car and you can just run it wide open. Infineon is fun track to pass on the outside, better not touch those brakes though. But yeah I take whatever opportunity the Ai gives me.

Outside whenever I've got the chance. I find it more entertaining than passing on the inside.

I generally dive down the inside under braking, but it's an amazingly broad question... it depends on the situation

As others have said, it depends on the situation. I have no preference (not as far as I know anyway!) - I bet I'll be checking my own overtaking style now in my next race

I love to dive down the inside - sometimes I use the sucker I'm passing as a kind of brake .
