Inside Sim Racing going to San Diego

Shaun Cole and I will be going to San Diego for Inside Sim Racing to cover the Racer X event as well as the GT Academy battle for the 16 spots.

Hope to see you guys there and good luck to those in the Racer X competition ! If you see us, feel free to ask for an Inside Sim Racing bumper (or sim rig) sticker to put on your ride.

This is awesome!!! I'm so glad you guys get to cover it!

I don't expect you to remember this Darin, but last year right before the closing rounds of 2011's GTA I was in a practice room with you when the Jetta/ MX5 multi-class series had just started in iRacing and we chatted for a bit about GTa and things. I look up to you guys at ISR a bunch.

I've been watching you guys since close to the beginning! Every upload's a must see for me.

Very cool they are letting you cover this! The finals last year was totally closed off, would have been cool to have you guys there. Maybe after the event you guys can hop on the rigs and do some spot races with the guys. Good stuff!

Hate to say, we arrived and turned around and are heading home. What was sony thinking having it there during comicon. We couldnt get close enough to park near the hard rock and unload our equipment.

Big let down as we were excited to cover the event. Oh well..

That sucks Darrin! Guess they where looking at getting all the exposure they could, shame they missed out on the most relevant one...

We asked for help and Sony had none to offer except "come down, you'll have access to the finalists and Bryan Heitkotter".

We've been to at least 10 trade shows in different locations, Los Angeles, Vegas San Francisco etc and this was horrible. Parking was a ways away at "Petco Park" where the San Diego Padres play. The neighborhood was shady and we didn't want to chance getting ripped off in route.

IGN is there and Jordan is with them so hopefully they'll get some good coverage. We'll be able to catch it on Spike TV too.

We don't have the patience for something like that with a quarter million people there for a convention that has nothing to do with simulated racing or even gaming. We figured the next two days would be worse so decided to cut our losses at just a tank of gas and 6 hours of driving. At least we didn't have to pay for the room.
