Figured this would be the best place to ask.

I downloaded the demo perfectly fine, but when I try to install it, I get an error saying that the file is corrupted. tried redownloading, didn't work. tried downloading and installing on my alternate account, still didn't work.

Anyone else having the same issue? Anyone know how to fix this?

I'm having the same issue, and no, I haven't found a solution.

Apparently, the 14% install bug is commonplace since the hacks last year, and you need to alter your DNS or something, but it's over my head.

I'm searching for a solution right now.

:irked:👍

EDIT:

OK, so apparently there are a number of "solutions" that people claim to have had work for them.
Some bogus, no doubt, and some that could be correct.

The two I like the most are these:

Turn off your router and modem for a long period, like 12 hours or more. Then try the download again.

Make sure you router and modem and all their respective cables are separated and are not all jumbled together, and make sure none of these items are anywhere near loudspeakers, as the magnets may interfere with your internet equipment.

Here's my favourite:

The network will be experiencing very heavy traffic as everyone tries to get a good copy of the downloadable data, so KEEP TRYING over and over until it worx.

Obviously; delete any corrupted data that ends up on your system, before you try to download and re-install.

Also, someone mentioned that you should download, without downloading in the background.
Also, also; someone mentioned that you should download in the background and set the system to shut down after install, everytime. Helpful.

Have fun.

I am still not able to.

That sucks 👎

Not so sure about any of those voodoo fixes  I would say hard wired ps3, nothing else online in the house(like your kids dl'ing Bieber songs) dl in forground and install right after.

It really is ridiculous, best of luck guys.

OK, I got it to install.

I did nothing.

Just re-tried about 12 times in total I think.

In the end, it came down at 3pm GMT+1, and I went to PS store, found the item through previous downloads, hit download, then turned my TV off, thus leaving the store open throughout the whole process.

When I got home 3 hours later, it had installed, and I am working my way through part 1.

I have, however tried to do this in the exact same way, and it failed at 14%, so it appears to be random, and therefore down to the actual quality of the download I presume, and not anything to do with the quality of my router/modem/network/ISP/PS3/surround sound speakers/underwear.

Alright, then. Sounds pretty dumb but okay.

EDIT: Got it to work. Didn't even do anything different but okay.
