I've posted this on some other messageboard and gotten mixed reactions, so I've changed it around a little from its original format.

How many of you would be interested in a GT2 hybrid/normal car spotrace?

It would be something like this: I would supply a hybrid that the gameshark-inclined people would use, and also pick a normal car for those without gamesharks or dex drives. The normal car would be competitive with the hybrid, or else it wouldn't be fair.

For example: a 675 hp 'Cuda hybrid against the 702 hp Zexel Skyline.

Then someone would pick a track, say Tahiti Road, and that would be that, so to speak.

Someone would supply the gameshark codes to build the hybrid and a dex save of it (me, probably).

Also, the hybrid would have to be a little handicapped, as usually a hybrid with comparable hp and weight will outrun a normal car.

If any of you are interested in this or have suggestions, please post them here, I would like to hear what you guys think of this.

Wow, I'm overwhelmed by the huge response ;)

Come on, I know someone has to be interested in this...

I would love to participate in something like this. It's something to do with GT2. Guys that don't have GT3 yet should sign up.

I would be interested but could I suggest a slightly different approch?

How about a rally competition whereby you use the records database at www.racing-line.org and find say four hot laps on four different courses of a rwd a 4wd a mrwd and a rwd

The non users of carts and dex's then run those cars whilst the dex users have to use equally powered cars that dont normally have dirt tyres.

Might take a bit of time to set up and provide a garage of normally non dirt tyred cars for both pal and ntsc for those with dex's but without a cart but if posted at a few boards It would get a fair following I imagine as the only hybrid part would be the tyres.
