It looks kind of worse than the first one IMO, also boomee in your signature, it's supposed to be Honda S2000

I love how gamespot played the game and post preview with absolute ZERO of any information.

What this dumb game critics paid for? Why any useful information from prerelease presentations of any racing game like Forza and GT is only from usual gamers who managed to get somehow behind the closed doors but never from this so called "professionals"?

I just read the whole page preview and all I've got was: we played Shift 2 and we had fun. Great

I think it just requires more knowledge about the specific genre than is present in most of their staff. You know - they could interview a guy about a flight simulator, and if you don't really know anything, or know what to look for, what are you going to say other than

"How does it fly?"

"It's pretty nice and you should totally buy it!"

"That sounds like a pretty nice thing to buy!"

My favorite is videoreview of Shift from IGN. The guy is talking how he is hardcore racing simulator addict and at the same time you can see in video that all possible assists are on. LOL

Simracing world is the only one place who play racing games without assists. But from what they are saying it doesn't looks like they know a hell lot more about cars than average GT fan

Yeah, the biggest shocker for me from SRT, personally, was an episode (I think that was the one immediately after their Shift review) where one of them goes

"Oh, does this mod use realfeel?"

"I dunno, I can't tell"

:(

Which to me pretty much zeros any comment from them about any FFB in any game ever from that point forth.

Ha the guy said "No Polo" lol. I guess he doesn't understand what Gran turismo is. Sometimes I want to drive a Polo. To compete with GT/FM you have to make a similar structure. If its just super cars and sports cars its not really competing.

I'm interested in seeing what they feel about their game thats going to compete with GT and FM. 130 cars doesn't help because we can all guess 75% of that number because EA reuses their car line ups year to year.

For me Shift was a change up o FM3, not something I would just pick over another all together.

That's what previews always are from professional gaming sites/magazines/whatever. They try to not give any real opinions of the game in previews, simply say "we played this game, it had these features, here are some pics/vids, we look forward to seeing the full game". Pretty standard practice.

I'm a sim racing fanatic and when I want to make a video or take screenshots to show something off I often turn on the assists so I can focus on making the video/pics to look nicer.

Games like Shift, GRID, F1 2010, GTR, RACE, Live for Speed, rFactor, iRacing, etc etc are all more focused on racing and the racing experience. Forza and GT are more like car collection games.
