Intro new member

Hello GTP,

I recently got in to GT5 and learned about these forums through Google. Have played GT since GT3 sometime in 01 or 02. Never got serious about the series though. Right now I am level 22 and am just racing seasonal events for cash/xp. It doesn't look like cash is really that important to the metagame here though.

My favorite cars are 80s Japanese imports. I love the AE86, and MR2.

I will probably do more lurking than posting because my knowledge of the game and cars in general is limited. If there are some beginner events I should look into please let me know. I haven't tried playing online yet but this looks like the way to go.

Doing the license tests, with as few assists as possible is a good start.
Would also highly recommend you to try the Mercedes-Benz AMG Academy in the Special Events.

Also, cash is way to easy to come by these days.
I wish they removed all this 200% login bonus nonsense and kept the original payouts, where you had to race a couple races just to earn a few thousand credits.

But hey, maybe thats just me who likes it that way.

I played in 2011 and didn't realize you could do seasonals. Last night I tried some and made 3 mil in like 2 hrs.
