Wow, that does remind me of "over there"(I miss watching that show oddly enough.) That's a shame though. Way too much tension. But you can never be to carefull. Usually warning shots should get the attention of the driver. Thats sad to hear.

There has been too many bad things happen. They can't take any chances. I know occurences like this are bad and I wish it never happened, but they can't be lenient. The driver could have stopped at the checkpoint, I suppose. They were warned, afterall. But they persisted. That's usually how it happens--people are oblivious to warnings for some reason.
