IRock 860 Series

i was looking into getting an irock 860 series 256mb. anyone have any experience with it or know of a better one for the same price? Its hard to find user reviews, I've only found a couple and they say good things. It's like $150 american, fm radio 20 presets,5 eq presets, 30 hour battery life on one AA, around 9 hours of music can be stored on it, backlit lcd display, uh smaller than a business card and probably something else i cant remember. comes with leather case cover thing.

I prefer stuff from iRiver - better audio quality...but the iroks should be good. Creative & iriver make them about the size of a stick of gum (a bit round though). Same features on those too

this is for comparison.

Iriver comes with better headphones (my friend has the iRiver), it's capable of recording audio (will be useful for any university student)

iRiver doesn't require any software as an absolute necessity - well, their other products don't, not sure about this one. that's VERY important now - just drag and drop

the iRiver has been known to come extremely close Creative labs for the best audio quality on the market.

oh, and I've used moodlogic and musicmatch jukebox with my ipod...i swear, they have GOT to be the 2 most evil programs on the planet - after microsoft's stuff. the programs just plain suck at what they do & they make life much tougher too. Moodlogic retagged half my music collection :irked: - took me several hours to fix that

since both use solid state memory, neither will ever skip no matter how much you throw them around. Break - yes, but not skip :P. The iRiver also has a nicer design imo. But the white iRock is pretty sexy. It'd match my iPod perfectly

yeah i like the iriver better after i looked around at different players. turns out that ipf-190t is what i'm getting anyways i just told everyone i wanted an mp3 player before i looked around.
