Designed to provide an entry point and training ground for up-and-coming drivers, the Renault Clio Cup Series is all about having a level playing field which creates genuine, healthy racing, and provides genuine opportunities for talented drivers to show their skills. Like similar one-make series races, the series requires competitors to use a spec or stock car setup, ensuring that driver talent, rather than tuning ability, is key to winning. We are also starting an hour earlier than usual because Monday morning is right around the corner and I know the blue-collar workforce will appreciate ending earlier.

Glad to see someone doing a clio series, it was what I had planned next for the next one I ran. The time doesn’t work for me though.

You're usually around Sunday mornings/afternoons right? I know R1600Turbo likes to use the afternoon time slot so I took the evening one. My work schedule ensures I can be around every day after 7pm but afternoons are iffy. Like this week coming up I can't make it to the Ferrari Challenge races. What are the best times for you on a weekly basis?

This should be real good.

I will start working on tunes that I will share.

Don't worry about it, I'm probably not going to bother with running any more series.

Sundays during the day are the best time (before 5pm ideally) for me. I usually only like having one night of racing per week and that’s the IROC right now (and occasionally FIA).

The Clio cup is one car that’s way more fun to drive in PC2 than GTS anyway

It sure is, but that's why I'm allowing tuning and putting on racing tires to begin with. The tire temperature with the car is nothing like PC2 which gets really close to real life with how cold rears can easily spin a FF car. I doubt GTS comes close to that.

That looks really cool! Hopefully we can get this filled up in the coming weeks and have a nice little end of summer championship.

C'mon guys, nobody wants to do a fun low powered car on slicks for some close door to door action? Are FWD cars really that bad in GTSport that nobody likes to race them?

This should be fun but not with three cars on track. I won't start it up until we get a few more entries and if not then I'll shelve the idea for now. I know Fridays and Saturdays are where we get the largest audience.

The car interests me but the sprint race format doesn’t do anything for me anymore. I just like to prepare for one long race a week these days. Also, anything before 8-8:30 central is out for me because it interferes with my kids bedtime routine. Good luck with the series though. One of these days one of these series will fit for me and we can race again.

Is that the blancplain? Isn’t it full? Also, I am already heavily committed to a Wednesday night series in pcars2 that dominates most of my week getting the tune right and figuring my strategy out. Then there’s ARL Saturday night. If anything, I would join the IROC series which races before ARL but haven’t had much time to look into it yet. It’s on my radar though.

I have to say though. Now that my wheel is up and running, gtsport feels.... off. Pcars feels perfect. I am terrible in sport now, I just feel disconnected and struggle to find a rhythm or any pace. I may just stick with the DS4 in sport going forward since there is no joy in using the wheel the way the FFB and physics feel.
