Is Acura NSX '02 the fastest sports class car in the game?

So is it? Every time I race the beginner sports car races the NSX starts at the end and usually places first. Is there a faster car? I've been buying all the sports cars to find one that is faster and haven't done so yet.

The NSX is the fastest, but the Skyline and the Evora come really close. This is when stock but with a good tune, the renault cilo can bring it home.

so... since you know all that, why did you ask the question in #1 in the first place?

you know with online races->beginners race->midsize cars i see most people choosing the integra -- but i beleive there is an audi that is actually faster than the integra, i choose audi once and it put me behind integra in starting grid

Integra rules supreme. Begginer race on Suzuka East with the integra delivers a win everytime. Even with the Idiots cutting the corners. Its just not worth driving there, I have better races with the AI on 10.

But there is more to Grid position than just Performance. Your internet connection counts as well. faster your connection, the better your grid position.

Sorry but there is no 2002 Acura NSX in GT5p ;)

But yeah from my testing the 2002 Honda NSX-R is the quickest "sports car" class car. Which reflects reality (considering GT5P's car line up)

Note I am referring to standard cars here, not PP tuned.

The main reason the Honda is fastest is because the PP is completely screwed up. Eg. A V8 is designed to go faster on straights than in corners, yet GT5:P equalises all cars for straight line speed then expects the V8s to make it up in the corners. That's why the best handling cars are the fastest, but in reality there's more than one way to speed.

The difference between Honda's regular models and Type R is huge.

Not HUGE... the Acura Integra TypeR isnt like, CRAZY different, like, you can buy the skirts, front lip and wing to get the same look, pretty cheap, if you wanna get the performence, a few engine internals, exhaust, headers, aswell as a ECU tune and intake manifold and your on your way!

Well yeah, the PP system really is there to even out the numbers (Power, weight, tyres etc) but doesn't take into account naturally poor handling or great handling cars. The system would need to have many many more included variables for that.

IMO PP system is too difficult for them to fairly regulate, especially when we are going to have 600+ cars, there will always been freak cars people will find and exploit.
