is buying a $150+ driving wheel really worth it? DS3 vs GT vs G25...

i am thinking about buying a Driving Force GT, but I'm not sure if it is so much better than a DS3. I can't afford the G25 (the clutch as the only real difference between the two). I'm unsure when the release date of the G25 was, but I know for sure that the GT is very new, and was exclusively made for GT5/PS3. For example, Logitech says herehttp://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/gaming/playstation_3/devices/4172&cl=us,en that the GT has optical encoding. Unlike the G25http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/gaming/playstation_3/devices/131&cl=us,en which does not have "optical encoding". GT looks to be made of materials that are a little lower quality but I would hope that the $300 G25 has better construction.

Any advice from wheel owners/fellow GT lovers?
