Is DrivingForce's steering angle less than DS2?

I'm trying to drift with my DF wheel, it just seems like I can't countersteer as much as with DS2. Does the DF wheel has less steering angle? I'm suspecting this because GT4 is calibrated for a 900 degree DFP, so the 250 degree DF can't steer as much. Is this true? Anyone with a DF wheel agree/disagree with this? Thanks.

Me too, I can drift decently with DS2, but I'm having problem with DF. That's why I suspect DF might have less steering angle than DS2. When I countersteer (in the DF) as I would in DS2, I would spin out, it just seems like I'm not countersteering enough when in fact I already steered all the way.

It's a situation of adaption. I find the DS2 impossible to drift with, and the DF way easier to use.. I dunno.

The DF steers to full lock at 250 degrees (or whatever degree value it turns to), which is the same lock as the DFP at 900, and the same as pushing the DS2 buttons hard. full lock is full lock, that's all there is.

Using a steering wheel is completely different to using the DS2, as there is time involved in turning the wheel, whereas you can theoretically go from full lock to full opposite lock in an instant on the DS2.

Keep practicing with the wheel, you'll get used to it.

I'm practicing with the HKS S15 right now, still spin out on the longer corners, and even the 90 degree corners I can't drift through it as cool as with a DS2. Any tips or special settings that might help? Thanks.

Can someone post a short drift vid with the DF wheel? I want to see what I'm doing wrong. Any FR car on any track will do, thanks.

Try setting a 4wd up for drifting first. they're easier to get sideways in and a great way to start - much less sensitive to throttle variations. once you get used to them, try switching to a FR.

the wrx sti is a great car to start with in my opinion. easy to control, easy to drift. just a great car to start with.
