It became downloadable in NZ just last week, do a search on the PSN Store for it. A couple of weeks back it came up with a message that I wasn't allowed to download it as it wasn't for my region. Then last week I saw a couple of PSForum mods from Australia playing it, so I gave it another go and it worked just fine. Have just finished Twin Ring Motegi time trial as of this post

It wasn't downloadable from our store last time I checked. Which makes it even funnier that Australia is leading the rankings in Average Golds :D :D :D

Just started downloading it today. 👍 :)

3gb memory space needed for it. Gosh could take some for it to fully download...

It's because only 1:29 000 people have played GT Academy in Australia.
The trouble of downloading it means that only dedicated players go through the work of doing it.

This chart is sorted by avg gold. The first number is the average gold, followed by the ratio of entries to population. So for instane, the entries for Australia is 1 entry per 29 000 people (1 of 29 000 people in Australia have tried GT Academy 2012). For most countries in the top 20, the ratio of entries to population is more than 1:10 000. For most countries participating in the competition (marked by *), it's rarely above 1:2 000.

Thanks for posting info in this thread everyone. I haven't touched GT5 for some months but I also wondered if Australians were given the opportunity to officially compete.
