Is it possible to b-spec the nurburgring 24 hour race

Yeah, you should win with the Minolta, they are driving 400 HP GT race cars, and with super hard tires, you'll be faster, and out for longer, B-spec Billybob will get a lot of training too, just A-spec the first run, then change to B-spec and check on it every once and a while, that's what I did, but I used the Audi R8, because it's better on tires, but the Minolta is free, unlike the Audi, so in short. Go for it

You can B-Spec almost any race, mate (apart from the tracks without pits, I think) 👍
Before it corrupted, Bob took over most of the race at 8x the speed normal people can go. I only did like half an hour of racing :P

You can B-spec any race, including all the enduros, except the ones in the Special Conditions hall.

You can't B-spec any license tests or driving missions, of course.

Just do the A-Spec first until the tyres are out, come into the pit and change to Bob if you're lazy :P But you do need to keep an eye on Bob's tyres. I learnt my lesson in my 4 hours of Nurburgring.

I have a question, I want to sleep while I am doing the 24 hour nurnburing. Can my driver pit automatically?

Yeap. But the speed returns to normal each time he pits. Therefore, you gotta wake up and speed it to 3x if you want to complete the race faster.

It will pit automatically when Bob knows his tyres are really worn, but the problem is even when his tyres are worn, he still wants to do another whole lap in which he will spin a lot of time... Only then he will come in. There you will lose a whole lot of time. That's why I always watch whatever Bob is doing...

^ also do you have a slim ps2? If so make sure you dry air spray it before hand or borrow a fat ps2 before you try.

I remember using my Jaguar XJR9 for this. I only raced in A-Spec for about 4 hours, then just left it on B-Spec while I slept, then raced myself for the last hour. The good thing was that the lap times were consistantly fast on B-Spec, so I won easily.

Also, the first time I tried this race there was a power cut during the night, so I had to start the race again. At least it didn't happen 23 hours in.

I am just wondering because 24 hours is just too much for me to a spec, if i do this i am thinking of using the minolta 88-c.

The Toyota 88-CV is overkill, so it should kill the AI. In my younger days of GT4 i completed this with the 88-CV and I think I won by 20 laps (definately more than 15 laps).

You can minimize this from happening by doing some testing with your B-Spec driver. Run some laps with the Toyota 88-CV and see how long it takes B-Spec to use up the tyres (approx three laps on Nurb 24hr) Adjust the 1-5 setting and make him want to pit just before he gets to the last long straight, about where the Kleine-Karussell is.

Then when he come around to the pits he should enter with no problems.

Why do you need to prepare your PS2 Slim. I have left mine on for approx 2 weeks and had no problems at all. Smallhorses left his on for like a month with no problems. As long as you keep it in a well ventilated area, no overheating problems should occour.

So can I make bob used to pitting at the right time? My b-spec driver by the way has more than 6k skills.

There is no way to specifically train Bob so that he would never skip pitting until its too late.

However, this is really not a problem since Bob will only have this problem less than 5% of the time. The rest of the time Bob will pit at the correct time and there is no need to give him any instructions to do this.

I have B-spec'd all GT4 races that the game allows, so I have extensive experience in watching (mostly ignoring) Bob's behaviour.

The only time you really need to watch what Bob is doing is if you are in a very close race with a car that is only slightly better than the AI competition. Usually this is not the case, since you need to give Bob a better car than the AI competition if you even expect him to consistently win, so its not the timing of the pit stops that will trip you up, but his driving skills in general.

As for leaving your PS2 on, I have left mine on for over a full month numerous times without any ill effects other than the electric bill (which is minimal).

Enjoy the racing!

Ihave had nothing but problems with slim's. My aunts launch ps2 has outlasted 3 of my slim's and one of my friends launch ps3's

After about five seconds, he will press OK for you, So unless you are in a close race where five seconds count, there should not be a problem.

The only thing B-Spec cannot do, is return to 3x speed once the pit stop is complete.
