I'm driving with proffesional physics, no TC, no ABS, no ASM...nothing to aid me...

For the life of me I simply cannot beat it..I think the closest I have gotten is 6 or 7.

Is it possible or are you forced to do this is standard with some aids. I have unlocked the QTS, but nothing I do will help me to actually center the top 3...

So..is it possible, with perhaps the right setup, or not?

im sure a camera phone or vid will suffice. seems pretty impressive to me but i guess anything is possible with time and practice. :)

Indeed, and I believe you posted a picture of your complete time for the M3 Eiger trial at 1:12.8 so you've definitely got a camera phone ;)

I'm pretty sure it's possible.
I've reached third place without tuning the car.

Of course i got a camera phone, but how should i make a video while i'm playing. Here is nothing in front of my TV to deposite a camera.
But anyway, if you wan't believe me than don't do it. I see no reason why i should lie to you.
The only thing you need to complete the events is practice and patience. I've tryed some events more than 300 times until i've got the gold medal.

I have managed 2nd place, with just 0.082 seconds behind 1st. So, it's possible, but HARD! Just slip stream as much as possible. When the wind noise disapears, you're slip streaming.

Is this A-8 event one lap in the F430 around Daytona?
I just tried that last night and struggled to stay on track using Pro and no aids, first time using that car though. After a few attempts I got as far as 6th, but then just switched it over to Standard to complete so I could unlock the S events and the Quick Tune. Now that I've got those, I'll go back and try to complete this event the way I really want to do it - Pro and all aids off.

Not sure about the ABS though, I've only just got the Quick Tune and haven't yet tried turning that Off! Sounds like fun.

I've no doubt that it is totally possible to get Gold using Pro with ABS, TCS & ASM all Off. Although it'll probably take me a few hours practice just to get Bronze.

Dont worry, i believe you but i'm just interested how you drove :)

I just won this race with a slightly tuned GT-R on pro physics. I didn't find it that hard, given you don't make a severe driving mistake and fly off the track.

@ neilX: no, it's three laps of Fuji with the chicane, free choice of car and power. The hardest opponents are the GT-R and the F430.

Damn I mixed that up, sorry. Daytona with the F430 is very hard on pro, I think you need a lot of tries and driving experience to manage that.

Yes, it's very very hard. You have to do a really PERFECT round. Otherwise you can't win. A really important part of this race is the chicane on the long straight.

A really important part of this race is the chicane on the long straight.
Funnily, you can take that one much more quickly than the AI. In all of my attempts on this race however, I always run into the group of the GT-R, the TVR and the Viper, so I can't carry my speed out of the chicane. I suppose I should be further in front at this point anyway though.

When you overtake them just before entering the chicane (outbraking them) than you're good, but you'll have to take that chicane very high up on your revs in third gear, shifting to 4th halfway the first S, same for the second S, catch the draft of number2 on the last part of the turn and you'll fly past numer 2 and 1... or (my first big frustration in FT5P) past 2 and come 0.002 behind number 1, man I was mad!

Confirms that I'm doing pretty good already. Where I'm losing ground is out of the infield I guess. So the guy in the video was able to take number 3,4 and 5 before the chicane, which is my last missing piece.

That one is frustrating, but get around the 599 and DB by the 1st corner, than the BB and f40 by the second or third, then draft on the main track to get around the group before chicane, then you have a chance. If I couldn't do that
I just restart until I got at least that far.

Think I drove through the pits instead of the first corner else I couldnt find room to break without losing seconds to the leaders (yes its cheese but i didnt just fling it agaisnt the wall I did take the corner 'properly')

I refuse to believe A8 can be beaten #1 place on pro, all physics off and honest driving. If you have done it, you will of course have saved the replay, and in that case you can film it with any camera. So what are you waiting for :)
