I haven't played any a spec yet as I am waiting for a Fanatec wheel and I don't want to get used to driving with a DS3 and become too good with it that I'll end up frustrated when I first get the wheel so I'm just playing b-spec at the moment. But I've seen lots of threads about how difficult the Vettel challenge is and how it's nigh on impossible to gold without a wheel. Golds in licenses and challenges is one of the funnest challenges in the game for me.

I wanted to drive the whole game with no traction control, skid recovery force or other aids except maybe abs set to 1 in some cars. Is it possible to gold the Vettel challenge with no aids if you use a wheel. I could probably relax the ABS rule for it and wack that up to 10, because I'm guessing on a car like the X2010 the brakes probably would be that good, so it wouldn't seem like cheating. But using skid recovery force probably would to me...

Has anyone golded them without the use of SRF?

I have driven the X2010, and I'll tell you this:

A. You don't need ABS. It simply does not lock up.
B. I've never done the challenge, but if it drives like in Practice/Arcade/Online, you simply won't get sideways. Therefore, logic says SRF isn't necessary.

EDIT: I seem to enjoy the word "simply" tonight. Carry on.

Skid Recovery Force is not about going sideways, it's about extra grip. But yeah, the X2010 feels like it has grip in spades anyways, so...
