Is it possible to tune any car to be faster than a GT500, with the same power/weight?

I tried to make the RM for some cars, to be regulated for the Super GT500. But all of then are slower than the real GT500. The Vette C6 for example, with the same power and weight, has more PP compared to the others, but the real Super GT still is about 1 second faster on a lap. Could anyone help me with a good setup, to be faster?

Power and weight are just after thoughts in comparison.

Pretty much this. If you want something faster than a GT500 at the same power and weight, take a Formula car or an LMP and detune them and raise the weight to meet the GT500 car (might not be possible with the Formula).
