I bought a GT3RS shortly after GT5 came out and have enjoyed them both since. I'm only playing GT5 sparingly lately, but may begin playing more. I have an XBox located in another area of the house that I could move when needed if I decide to use it for Forza 4. However I don't have a wheel that I can use with Forza. I definitely won't bother playing with a game pad. It just doesn't feel like driving.

I'm trying to decide if I should sell my GT3RS wheel and replace it with a CSR Elite or CSR. I'd keep my CS pedals as I believe they'll still work. I doubt I'd get alot for a used wheel, so depending which wheel I got I'm looking at 200-400$ or more for a new wheel. I'm having trouble deciding whether it's worth it.

The other issue is that the Xbox is upstairs and I sim race downstairs in my home theater. I use the Xbox as a Media Center and the kids use it for gaming where it's now located. So I'd basically have to move it regularly to use it for racing or buy another one.

I have no experience playing Forza and I'm not sure whether it will be worth the expense and effort to do it. Are the physics close enough to GT5 that I will still enjoy it. I tried Shift and really tired of that quickly. Didn't feel like a sim at all. I'm worried I'll go to alot of effort and expense then be dissapointed by Forza 4.

Fanatec keeps their value very very well, just take a look at how much Turbo S goes for online, granted without 360 support the GT3RS won't sell as high but still there's a lot of demand, so trade it in I say.

The physic surpasses GT5 (at least before 2.0, don't have a PS3 with me now) and you have tons to do, just get a cheap second hand box for your kids. :P

Hi There,

I also have a PS3 and the GT3RS clubsport package. Main disadvantage of the GT3 being not able to use with the XBOX 360. As I have a xbox too. I bought the MS wheel. There's a world of quality between the 2 , but the MS wheel does the job though.
I upgraded now to a CSR wheel and use the CSP I already have.
If you're in doubt, don't be and just buy the CSR. The buttons are better located then on the GT3, in feel of quality I don't notice any difference ( besides the whole versus part alcantara covered wheel).
Won't sell my GT3 , will keep it as a backup.

I would purchase a Fanatec CSR, as it works on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Forza 4 alone is worth the purchase of an entire simulation cockpit, 3 Xbox 360's, 3 games and 3 screens.

I second that. If you have the cash to burn and a wife that won't look at you sideways then it's well worth all Bogie has said.

Man, I'm in the same boat. Is it worth it? After playing GT5 with my DFGT I will never play a racing game again without a wheel. So to my dismay, Fanatec pedals do not come with the wheel which really sucks. And I can't figure this out, can you attach the CSR to a table? It won't let me put the table clamp in the cart with the wheel and pedals?

Either way I'm looking at over $500 if I want to experience FM4 the right way. If I was single I wouldn't care, but being married.... well that changes things. I'm tempted to just buy it and ask forgiveness later, but boy she would be pissed.
