I know this is for Horizon 4, but it's interesting that they have a Technic McLaren Senna instead of the Speed Champions one.

That got me thinking, are they possibly bringing LEGO Technic cars to Horizon 5?

I kinda hope not.
I love all cars and there are no cars from any Forza game that I would prefer to not return, except for the Lego cars.

It is kind neat, but maybe Let Lego borrow the Forzatech Engine to make a stand alone Lego Speed Champions racing game instead.

Personally, I hope not. In a game with such photorealism for its visuals, the Lego stuff is just so jarring, out of place. The only use I had for the Lego Expansion, in FH4, was that it helped me get a Ferrari 812 Superfast, through completing stories. Didn't touch it after that.

I feel like they would be better off making a spin-off Lego Forza game, with all Lego tracks and Lego cars, instead of putting Lego in the regular entries.

As part of the Forzathon playlist would be cool. I liked driving them around every now and then for the ridiculousness factor.

I wonder whether the real reason some people don't like Speed Champion cars is because of the Lego Senna's insane Vision GT-like roadholding and handling capabilities.
I bet @UKMikey is 'bricking himself'now....
I don't know about bricks but I'm sure there is 'mortar' come as far as these excruciating dad puns are concerned.

At least @Toko hasn't blocked me. Geddit? Blocked? 'Cos Lego has blocks.

I've blocked many bad vibes in my life for years. But I could never put ya in a 'brick wall' caz you're awesome! ;)👍 Mind you, this is a half joke, half compliment haha. ;)

Also, sorry for the late post. 😅

Could be it.

Honestly, I never really got the 'it's not realistic, it's jarring' complaints because if we're going by that token, shouldn't the Hot Wheels expansion in FH3 qualify as well? Or is it just because Hot Wheels take on a more recognizable car shape and aren't blocky?

For the record, I didn't like the Hot Wheels expansion for FH3 either, for the same reasons. I also wasn't much of a fan of the Hot Wheels cars either, but at least cars like the Twin Mill and the Boneshaker have been built for real, as actual functional cars.

Now, clarifying my position on these expansions, further, I don't mind that they exist, under one condition: that if I don't want to see any of their content, I can avoid it entirely. I believe this wasn't possible with Lego because, even outside the Lego world, you could find yourself racing against Lego cars, and that is an immersion breaker to me.

Maybe they should have used these models instead...
