Is NFS Hotpursuit any good?

Yes it is. If you play a lot you can finish the whole thing in a day or two, and the "rapid response" missions are annoying, but overall the game is worth every penny.

And when you have a crapload of friends with the game, Autolog updates the time of each event, then you brag on your friends walls, then they can try to beat you back, and if they do, they will brag on your wall, so it's very fun. I believe I will be getting it along with FIFA 12 for Christmas.

I think it's good but not as good as Hot Pursuit 2. The reason why I say this is because of the sandbox/free roam is getting annoying with the NFS franchise (Mostly EA Black Box was kind of obsessed with it with a few exceptions).

This game is way better than The Run, because that game overused quick time events which is a nuisance to gaming nowadays which adds nothing to the challenging factor. It should have died but it lives on.

It did take it's classic roots which is impressive, they have done the theme right when it came to pursuits, locations and the cars available in the game; especially you get to drive a Bugatti Veyron as a police car. They did get carried away with the Burnout styled crash sequences; but why doesn't EA bring back the Ferrari's? Those are minor complaints.

All in all, Hot Pursuit is quite enjoyable, but HP2 took the cake in terms of content and gameplay.

It's a fun game if you give it a chance... I was glad I had added it to my collection of racing games. A different take on the arcade classics that it shares it's name with. 👍

Don't think of it as a Need for Speed game, think of it as Burnout with slightly more technical mechanics and physics.... if you can grasp the simplicity of drifting in burnout, you're well on your way to becoming good in HP3.

The metagame of this isn't about how well your braking points are. It's about how well you control and decide on the apex of your turns, and how you manage your nitrous.... If you can't do either, you won't be good at this game (I'm speaking solely for the racing aspect as I almost never play cop-related events)

Burnout with police I've always made it out as. Great game to play, best NFS ever made IMO. :)

You need to play The Run, man... They employed a LOT of street-racing physics in it making it challenging and exciting.

Tomorrow I will unwrap it and get stuck in EOTW and Career (The Run) mode.

I got it last year for christmas, along with GT5 and a PS3. I haven't played it in a while. It's a good game.

Is nfs the run any good?

Aside from a few things, The Run I feel simulates street racing very closely for an arcade... the effects of driving off-road, hitting rumble strips, lifting off hills, hard braking while turning, throttle control....

Is nfs the run any good?

Honestly, i love the run. Online is also incredible, as its always a challenge to leap forward just as the rammers take out the good drivers, and boom you got 'em. Also if your looking to go back in time the nfs mw, ug/ug2, and carbon dlc is available. All in all i love it, plus the career races are almost out of a movie.
