Hi im new to the forums and im just wondering if Saleen s7 is a better car than Cadillac cien. Because i don't have two memory cards and don't want to waste all my money if it isnt a good car.

Hi buddy, Welcome to GTP 👍

The Cadillac Cien can be won at the first rally race in the "Special Conditions" Hall. The Saleen S7 is totally worth buying though, it has a better top speed than the Cien and you can use it in more race events where they require you to use production cars only.

There's a lot more to it though, I just gave you a small point of view...

Ciao!

As far as versitility, the S7 wins. All races the Cien can enter, including MR and NA races, the S7 can enter. The S7 also has a manufacturer race, and can compete in races requiring production cars (the concept cars are somewhat limited in that respect).
I prefer the S7, it looks and handles better, can race more, but it's really up to personal taste. At least the Cien is free :D.

Try telling that to Toronado ;) The Cien actually has a considerably higher full-tune top speed.
And yes, the Saleen has more purchasable upgrades than the Cien, which as a concept car is already about as kitted out as you can get it.

I wouldn't have either of these cars if you tried to give them to me for free, but I'd vote for the S7 over the Cien because it has a gearbox that actually works. Sort of.

EDIT - Case closed?

fully tuned, the Cien can actually get downforce.
However, I have 2 Cien's, and 6 or 7 Saleen's.
Saleen's can be used for JGTC, by simply slapping Racing tires on them, along with most racing series, and still get points, the Cien, cannot. but it's fun to play wit
Saleen S7, hands down.

Cien, if we're talking about fully tuned cars. Has godly amounts of downforce, so it can control the 1000+ HP easily, without much wheelspin. Even though it's gearing is weird, it can reach 200 MPH faster than the S7. And it handles better.

That said, if we're talking about untuned Ciens and S7s, then I vote for the S7.

The Cein has terrible gearing, around a second to change gear :dunce:
Also the Cein is a Concept Car, so it can't enter Supercar Cup, even though you can be against it.

The S7 is fast(er), and dos'ent have messed up gearing, it can enter Supercar Cup etc.

In my opinion the S7 is better, although you can pick up the Cein for free

Well, you'll also be needing that Saleen S7 anyways for its one-make, so it's only a matter of time untill you'll buy it.

Actually, I'm not sure which one is better. The Cien can achieve a maximum power of (at least on my Cien) 1000+ HP, and the Saleen "only" ~850HP. Plus, that Cien can have a spoiler, while the Saleen can't, so it slides all the time. However, the Cien will be defeated when it comes to the racing itself - it is heavier, plus, prototypes aren't allowed for some races - the S7 can win you the Stars & Stripes, and the Supercar Festival, as well as (I think) Premium Sports Lounge.

You can get the S7 for free to.

You just have to buy an S7 before you can get the free one.:dunce:

Yep. However, is it only me, or is the Cien (fully upgraded) slower than the Saleen (fully upgraded)? That's my feeling.

Not in my experience, I find the Cien to be notably faster than the S7 tuned or not. But when you get into comparing cars that are tuned, you start running into problems concerning different setups. You might have a worse setup for the Cien than mine but I might have a worse setup for the S7 than yours ect.

I buyed the s7 and made some tests with the cien(in test course).

0-400: Cien

0-1000: Cien

Max Speed: S7

But i can enter more races with the S7.

I didn't say it WAS faster - it simply felt faster. More agile, and more sliding (no spoiler), and this is what mainly makes that speed feel for me.
