Now that Sony has a new Boss, what do you expect from Sony?

I think Hirai is a way better CEO than Stringer, but first lets do photos do the talk:
Stringer:

Hirai:

Who evoces more sympathy, alone from the pics?

Then the new ads are really good, so the marketing (which has a big impact on an coperate image, and products) is getting way better than it was before:

This is a really good one:

Perfect soundtrack, perfect catchy line

Then yesterday I saw the ad for the Sony tablets, (which I can't find on the net) is also really good.

What do you think?
Is Sony now at a turning point with a new CEO, who understands his customers better?

Sound off below

I really liked the sony ps3 guy in the American commercials I hope he stays. I think we'll have to see how the strategy for the PS4 plays out and if they really will stick to the 10 year plan for it. Also how the plan to run with blu-ray and market it along with the 3D tvs and so on.

Butler is the ****. So sad the rest of the world doesn't get this ads (yeahhy youtube and PSn ;)).
10 year life cycle is plausible, but that doesn't mean a PS4 will be out before. PS2 had a 10 year life cycle too, but the PS3 and PS2 did a part of the way together.
Blurays have their reason to exist now. They proved themself as excellent backup medium (50gb FTW).
I am curious to see how 3D will pan out in the future.

I agree with the Blu-ray comment, it has shown its worth, and you make a great point about the PS2 and 3 sharing the spotlight I'm surprised others on this forum haven't said that as well. The Sony is saying they will have the PS3 around for ten years, but they never said that would stop a PS4 release before the end of the PS3 cycle. So once again great point.

I think if they can get the 3D tv idea and gaming on track along with making sure that SEN is a much better system then PSN, sony might have a great thing coming.

I'm eager to see where this goes :

Hell, I would take GT5 as is, with this thing in play - especially if the head tracking in cockpit view worked. Only problem would be getting used to playing with a wheel without actually seeing it. Total immersion.

I suspect Sony may be saving it for the PS4 as an optional extra. If they do release the PS4 and this VR headset, I'm in straight away. It's the kind of tech I dreamed of while watching films like The Lawnmower man and Tron as a kid.

3D may be in its infancy, but then so was online multiplayer for the PS2 and that turned into the SEN (formerly PSN).

We are on the verge of gaming becoming something totally different, I just hope the gimmicky tablet controllers die off quickly as they look terrible for prolonged play sessions. Augmented reality 3D headsets for the win.

I read some carp about Disney (yes, Disney, I know, it makes no sense) working on some project that enables you to experience G force when you are viewing a tv screen.
It's ridiculous but if it works it'd be so very helpful for racing games, there's a big void to fill there.
