I checked youtube vids and apparently the Amuse S2300 GT1 shares the same concept but doesn't have a turbo so is the GT1 Turbo just a virtual concept car like the GT by Citroen race car with no basis in real life?

Well this is how it goes...
Back in GT2 there was a car Honda S2000 GT1 (I think, my favourite car from GT2 btw) and after some time PD and Amuse came to a deal that it's going to be made irl.
So yes, the Turbo version does exist and it's a car which came from GT to real life.

Search youtube and you can see this car racing the gunsai touge along side other known cars from gt5 like the blue re amamiya rx7.

Looks like the pics you guys have is of the S2300 GT1 that I was talking about:

Check out the description. It's the same concept as the S2000 GT1 Turbo but without the Turbo and has around 317hp.

So it does appear as if the GT1 Turbo is simply a virtual concept car, although the widebody kit was developed in collaboration with Amuse and GT.

Theres a few Amuse S2000 GT1 turbo... theres one on the net for sale with 750hp (takata edition)... most of them are S2000 with Amuse Body kits. but the Bodykit that is featured in the game Im not sure is for sale yet or real...

I honestly love this car, but hopefully C-ZETA doesn't find this topic. He absolutely hates that car as evidenced by one of his first car reviews.

Is it just me, or is this car absolutely incredible for 600pp online races? Seems to do really well even against race cars :dopey:

That's correct, the Amuse S2300 is a more beefed up, powerful cornering machine with a upgraded engine of a F23 either from a AP1's F20 with engine displacement or a AP2's F22 with the same treatment as a F20, but cheaper. A newly designed bodykit that increases downforce more than the older S2000 GT1 and a possible theroy of a 7speed transmission. So I think that the S2300 is close to being a real car as it's created in the game (S2000 GT1 Turbo) and in real life.

Does it have a 7 speed gearbox like in the game?

I found that to be a bit overkill in an S2000.

Who knows, it could it's mostly be a fully customed gearbox designed by Amuse engineers for better fuel handling and as a cruse gear. But I love the concept idea of it regardless. :D

Doesn´t matter, if the body existes, the engine is a question of swapping :P

True. :P

You just ran into a beauitful rarity on the net my friend :sly:👍! The S2K GT1 Turbo's bodykit is real, it's basicaly a redesigned GT1 body with a more curvier front, wider rear, and has more air spliters in the front for improved aerodynamics. But it does exist, in the form of the mighty S2300!

:scared:

Let's keep it quiet, like a ninja! :D

I wonder why haven't they installed a (super light weight) hardtop on the real life car.It would have been much more drag coefficient...

Ohhhh yea. I disagreed with C-ZETA, but a lot of people agreed. Glad to see people like it.
 Next time I see him only, Imma trolling him by beating him with it* :D S2K GT1 Turbo FTW!!!!!

*Well…beating him or beating him up with it, whatever works :D

For me, Best real car in the game.
It drifts and it grips like no other.
But its hard to set up, every track needs almost a different setup.
When you do find that set up, its hard to beat.

You mean it would've had a lower drag coefficient? As long as the top is the same shape, it doesn't really matter what material it is made from. The reason convertibles perform worse is because they require more bracing for the frame to have the same rigidity of a car with a roof (because the roof is a second point that connects the front and back). So while convertibles will be braced to be as rigid as a car with a roof, they will be a lot heavier.

Amuse made 2 versions of the GT1. One that was Turbo and one that was N/A. The car isn't a 2.2L, it's actually a F20C with Amuse's BoreXStroker 2.3L kit. Car has been competitive and it's first goal was to regain it's Touge Monster title on Gunsai Touge which did back in Touge GP 300 and Touge 2007 GP Final. The one use in GT5 is the turbo and the car's actual nick name is the Amuse S2300 GT-1 since Honda's name was meant to be based on the liter of the car but when it came to the 2.2L change, they decided just to keep it like "S2000" and not "S2200". The power is pretty much a waste and I rather just look for good driving feel, good total balance and good cornering speeds rather then having 628hp on the street and losing with horrible driving feel on the Street Radials(Sports Hard)
