the last need for speed game i owned and the last one i even played was the first most wanted on ps2, is the newer most wanted worth getting? what is your opinions about the game? what are the pros and cons about the game? also, is it as frustratingly hard as midnight club la? that game is the hardest racing game i have ever played lol

If you enjoyed the Burnout games, you'll like MW2012. However, if you are looking for a true NFS game in MW2012, this really isn't the game for you. The only things it has in common with the old MW is the name and that it has cars. You're better off getting The Run.

The new most wanted is 10 times better than the Run and takes 20 times more to finnish the campain. IMO is not as good as games like underground 2, the original most wanted or carbon but still manages to kick Undercover in the butt big time.

The game itself isn't comparable to any NFS game because, despite having the NFS name it is more of a Burnout game than it is NFS. Which is why so many people hate on it...

True. If you expected Most Wanted 2012 to be a modern remake of the 2005 version, you are bound to be disappointed. If you simply want a fun arcade racing game, then it is still a good buy. Physics are easy to get used to and challenges aren't too demanding, so you don't have to worry about difficulty.

i read some reviews on amazon and there's one in particular that stated that you don't get the full game? is this true?

With EA, you never get the full game because of two wonderful things: Greed and microtransactions.

that's ridiculous. so how many cars do you actually get and what cars are they?

update: i have to spend $35 extra dollars just to get the rest of the game? wtf

I never played it, since it looked terrible from the first trailer I saw for it. I knew it would be another cash-grab for EA, so I didn't feel like giving them any more money.

i've read that you crash a lot on this game even if you're not trying to? is this true?
let's say i find a car that i like, can i use that one car throughout the whole game? or can i only use a certain car for a certain amount of time?

If you want the P1 in Racer then you have to beat the racer career once to get it, (but it's mostly dependent on what you can get at your current level, and speedpoints)

The crashing, yea it happens a lot, (Go off the cliff and get crashed twice) flip over crash twice. hit something invisible crash twice.

so i played this for like an hour or so yesterday and im already thinking about selling the damn thing. this game has the worst driving mechanics i have ever seen, it took me 5-6 tries just to beat continental drift because i kept crashing and im fairly good at racing games. i just can't get used to these driving mechanics at all, this has got to be the best $20 i have ever spent

Continental Drift is an incredibly difficult race to get perfect because of the layout of the track. The crest on the first corner can throw you off the racing line, and the hill before the final corner can really ruin your day if you don't line up your jump. It's actually my favourite race in the game because of how aggressive you can race it. My record's 1:58.xx on the PS Vita and a bit higher (surprisingly) on the PS3.

The new Most Wanted is worth getting just don't bother getting it for the PC because the game is poorly ported causing the game to run horribly even in high end machines, other than that it's a game with lots of fun to be had I just think it's more Burnout than Need for Speed.

I definitely don't recommend getting it. IMO it is a lazy effort on EA's behalf as if it were a last minute attempt at sales. It can be fun to search for cars and have pursuits, but i wouldn't tell you to waste your money. I would recommend trying Hot Pursuit, or The Run. IDk if psn still has them on sale for 9.99, but the two mentioned are worth getting.

Worth it if you get your hands on the NFS Heroes DLC which you will get:
BMW M3 GTR(From the original Most Wanted game)
Lamborghini Diablo SV(From High Stakes)
Nissan 350z(From Underground 2)
Nissan Skyline GTR R34(From Underground 1)
Porsche 911 GT2(From Undercover)
