Is there a way to reduce flicker?

Hi all. I have just got back into gt games and I am enjoying gt6 a lot. What I do find however since I am practising at the moment in single player is I have been racing the BMW gt around Bathurst and I am finding it very flickery ( not sure if this is a word lol ). Is there a way to reduce this? I am running 1080p and have selected flicker reduction but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Any information on how to cure this would be most appreciated.

XMB is the menu when you press the PS button scroll to the left and find display settings and go from there.

No a frame rate drop looks like the game slows down.

The shadows flicker alot in GT6 there's nothing you can do about it. You can try "flicker correction" in the GT option menu, maybe is helps somehow.
Other than shadows I've seen not much flickering in GT6, to me it just looks very blurry. There is also a lot of "pop up", which means objects suddenly appear.

The flicker is ridiculous in the game and can't be fixed by us.
