Is there an American GT4 pro-racing team?

I remember a while back seeing an ad for a GT4 competition to allow someone from Ireland to represent the European GT4 team (I'm guessing for tournaments and such). Is there a team in the U.S.? And if so, how would one go about contacting them for the sake of trying out?

As for the GT4 competition, I do recall one from a while ago, but the only one I knew of was sketchy at best.

I know the extent of my abilities in real-time racing (it's an entirely different experience from time trial)... and I'm a very competant hot-lapper.

Yes, it is different from time trial because you can actually cheat by rear/side hitting the other cars, I'm not saying that you do because I don't know but that's why time trial is more trustworthy at competition level than driving with different people or AI at the same time.

You just give Der Alta's link a try and see who good you turn out to be when you compare your results with the ones from some sick racers in here.

I'm definitely capable of competitive times (as more than once I've just messed around and taken shots at WRS in my spare time without registering or sending in results).

The pressure to drive fast when someone is right on your tail is often very challenging when compared to running hotlaps though. If you're not calm and collected, you could very well go too fast into a curve and slide off, leaving you to sulk a bit while you back your car out of whatever wall it has collided with.
