Is there an order to upgrades to max HP?

saw this in another thread (about a Merc SLS), but I kind of wondered this myself, is there an order of upgrading your car that will acheive higher HP?

for instance I noticed if I have a 200hp car and go to upgrade the exhaust it would go to 209, BUT if I upgrade the engine first to say 240 HP now that same exhaust says it will upgrade the car to 252HP.

so this exhaust in this example is not a set HP increase but a percentage of the engine power? those were just example numbers but in the game this does happen.

So is there a method to upgrading, like if you upgrade all the engine mods first, then turbos, then exhaust, does it have more power than if you did the exhaust first then turbo then engine mods?

No, just like in real life, power gains depend on already installed mods.

I installed all upgrades (including Oil change) and I get "x" bhp. Someone else gets same car, also all upgrades and gets "x+however much more" 👎

Experiencing the same problem. My friend's LP-670-4 has about 50 more bhp than my completely upgraded/tuned one.
We are both wondering how that could be.

Maybe their car has oil change glitch + engine broken in.
