Having a issue where adding decals to rear winglets is causing bleeding over onto rear wing, have tried both projection methods, but haven't found a solution.

Though adding decals/shapes to rear wing appears as a option to "duplicate on reverse", attempted to add a black shape to the underside of the rear wing to cover up bleeding, but doesn't appear to work.

I had this problem to begin with, You just need to bring the depth limit down to -10 and your problem is solved :)

Defiantly fixed the problem, learning the little intricacies:dunce:, I have been spending so much time from the PC end of things making the livery's, haven't ventured enough as I thought into the editor.

On some wings that are not flat you can't use -10 but maybe -7 or -8 and then play with the angle too -2 / -5 usually works. :)

Another solution I use is to do the wing ends first and then use rectangular decal on the upper main surface to wrap around and cover decals projected from wing ends. Set depth and angle wide open for wrapping main part of wing.

I find the best solution is to set angle to -2 or -3 for anything with the flat vertical end plates. Moving the depth all the way in can mess with the blots and screws showing through oddly but the angle adjustment seems to be more forgiving. Something like the GTI VGT needs some playing but most everything I've come across so far just needs to have the angle tweaked.

Yeah I honestly thought this was a bug in the demo... it’s odd that this hasn’t been fixed, I don’t know who would want the messy bleed that the default depth creates

Where or how to set this?

Set Projection Area
Adjust the angle and depth of the projected decal.
① Angle Limit: Adjusts decal behavior for wrapping around the curves and bends of the body. Moving the slider to the right will allow the decal to wrap around elements such as the curves of the fender or to the underside of the rear spoiler. It is a useful feature for applying shapes such as stripes to the body.
② Depth Limit: Adjusts to what extent the projected decal wraps towards the opposite facing plane. For instance, when a decal is placed on the side of the car, if you move the slider to the right, it will cause the decal to penetrate the surface towards the opposite side, also wrapping around to the rear of the body in the process. An effective feature when applying two-tone paint schemes to the body.

A little advise.....using depth and angles give you the possibility to paint also the botton of the wings, can be helpfull when you are replying a car with this kind of decal placement

To expand on this, as I'm sure people will want to know. Place the underside decal first (flipped of course) set to depth Angle 10 Depth 10, then place a block of colour over the entire wing then adjust the angles/depths until the top is covered but the underside decal is still visable, then place your top decal and set the angle/depth lower so it doesn't show through.

Thanks for the tips, much appreciated!

Easier to set "align to camera" and move around so you are facing the bottom of the wing. Some are easier than others of course.

The angles method will work with more cars especially road cars with smaller wings where align with camera limits you to cars were the wing is high mounted or hanging off the back.

You'll also find you'll get stretched/skewed decals as you're not looking at the underside of the wing flat or face on.
