This is most likely an issue with my browser but thought I'd raise it anyway in case anyone else has seen it.

When browsing the site using my phone it automatically uses the mobile version of the website. Pressing 'Reply' quotes the post that you're replying to, and this works just fine. However if you then start typing and the word you type auto-corrects (yello to hello, for example), it moves the cursor and the corrected word to halfway through the first [*quote] tag. This messes up the formatting and I have to delete it all and try again.

I'm running a HTC One X using Dolphin Browser. Has anyone else seen this happen or is it just me? I'll try and get a screenshot of it occurring.

The exact same thing happens on my Droid RAZR using either the stock browser or Chrome. I have never had it happen on the iPad, though.

You may want to try disabling the WYSIWYG editor using the small wrench icon in the top right of the editor toolbar.

Having disabled it, how do we re-enable it again?
Below the text-box that has just turned yellow, there is a "Use Rich Text Editor" link that will turn it back to WYSIWYG.

Nope. All I see is three boxes: Post Reply, Upload a File, and More Options. And no, it's not in the More Options box, either; the options there are Reply to Thread, Upload a File and Preview... and checkboxes for Watch this thread..., and "and receive email notifications".

Oh, that sounds like you've disabled Rich Text Editor in your preferences, not via the Wrench icon that Jordan mentioned. In that case, it's not currently possible to switch on-the-fly to the Rich Text Editor. Would be a nice feature though. :)

Okay, that would be it. I got tired of quoting and/or copy-pasting something and ending up with formatting I didn't want and couldn't get rid of. Yes indeed it would be a nice feature to switch on the fly!

The editor seems to have issues with android in general.

Adds buggy with stock keyboard, acts less buggy with new keyboard.

I couldn't find that WYSIWYG icon anywhere, so turned on rich text editing in my preferences and the toolbar appeared. Selecting the icon turns the toolbar off again, but that means I was running with it off in the first place. I also can't seem to quote in rich text mode.

EDIT: After jumping onto my PC for a look, I was definitely running in BB code mode and I remember setting it to that to make editing photomode contest entries easier!

To enable or disable the WYSIWYG(What You See Is What You Get) click on the button that is boxed.

That's the one I've been using, it selects between BB code and Rich Text. The BB code setting was the one that didn't seem to behave itself, I've switched to Rich Text now to see how it goes.
