i just got shift 2 and i have to say im about ready to take it back to the shop :grumpy:

for some damn reason i can't get it to recognise i have my g25 plugged in.

it works and all BUT only shows up in controller options as a wireless controller!

i can still move around the menu and everything but when i get in game it wont let me steer with the wheel but buttons etc still work.

does anyone have any ideas?

i've tried turning off my controller and starting the game with just my wheel in and it still does it.

no matter what i do i can't get it to select a wheel option in the pre-configed controller options it only shows up as a wireless controller :(

yeah works on everything i use it on, use it mainly for GT5 and use it for pc as well its a game issue for sure i just can't figure out why when i see other people using G25 on ps3 with no issues with this game.

but for whatever reason for me its not working.

i searched google and nfs forums and a few others have had similar issues but no one can figure out how to fix it.

Have you tried reassigning your wheel to controller number 1 under xmb? I think shift 2 only recognizes slot 1.

yeah its NO 1 but like i said it only recognises it as a controller, all the buttons work, it detects the wheel cause when i turn wheel on menu it moves the menu, when i press the pedal it moves the menu etc but it wont let me reasign buttons or select g25 as an option.

something similar happened to me, i restarted the game and did not touch the controller, and used the buttons on the G27, that worked. Initial the G27 and it's buttons where not working.

Also i had a similar problem on another game as it turned out i forgot to plug the wheel into the wall socket.

Had the same issue with my G27 until I realized after 10mins of restarts & reassigning
the controller, I had to press the upper left button on the wheel to get it recognized.

I think Shift 1 I had a similar thing.
the way of getting it to work was ensure the wheel is the [FIRST] input that you use when starting the game. Do Not touch the controller until you have used the wheel controls.
