This is my first time taking a serious shot at the Le Mans 24hr race. I'm in a Toyota GT-One, tuned of course. During the dry I was on Race Mediums at front and Race Hards at the back. The entire time it was dry and light outside, I was thinking "keep the back tires on track".

Now, up until about hour 8, it had been dry. Then it started lightly raining, with the little rain meter saying 0% for about half an hour. Then it started slowly rising, and now its at 100% at 10 hrs and 45 mins in. I had been on Intermediates from about the 50% rain mark, and am now about to switch to full Rains.

It seems like Jason Statham was right when he said "it always rains at Le Mans".

So basically my question is, have you guys ever had a fully dry 24hrs of Le Mans race? Or does it always rain at some point?

I had a completely dry one but i found it quite annoying because I wanted some rain to make it a bit more fun.

When I did this race, it sprinkled briefly until about 17%, (about 2 hours) then it subsided completely

I wouldnt put on intermediates or rain tires at 50%. you should still be good to go on race tires.

Rain is nowhere near as annoying as the 10 hours of pitch black
