See, classic cars Is one of the things missing in F1 2010 so they probably would get that right ;)

@cowboys965; It is definitely not an arcade game. Not 100% simulation either, but simulation on an enjoyable level.

I just got it, different from GT5, so gotta get used to it :)

Somehow I get the slight inclination that Rich S doesn't like F1 2010. I think, anyway. He's pretty subtle about it, so I might just be misreading his small hints. Hopefully we'll be able to figure out his opinion if he posts a few more. :)

To all the guys that keep on saying the AI is unbeatable @ Valencia and Catalunya quali... i managed to beat them quite easily actually, it maybe because i have good setup, and because you have to go really fast in turn 14. or it could also be that im rlly good at it... its hard for me to find anyone that can beat me in online, except for the full time professional rammers, those are experts at pissing me off

bdw... i am 1st year with McLaren... And find that the AI is too easy... even in Catalunya. You just have to learn to take turns 12 and 13 properly, because if you lose a bit of speed there you will lose a lot because of the uphill section. Even turn 14 is quite crucial as it carries on some speed for the upcoming straight.

There was no need to double post there. I also direct you to the AUP with regards to proper grammar etc.

AUP? Sorry, i rarely use these forums, as you can see. Yep, it seems that one of the only things i am good at in life is driving. At least i'm pretty damn good at it.
OK, i learnt what it is now.

Even F1 Championship Edition had that

So that makes it the better game? Not in my book. So many people threw their toys outta the pram on this game, claiming codies robbed them of their money because it didn't quite live up to their expectations. They never claimed 2010 would have these features.

One guy on the official forum claimed codemasters were responsible for damaging their hearing. Since when were people so idiotic that they can't decide for themselves if the volume's too loud? I loved f12010, and it's getting annoying listening to people cry over minor details.

Would you rather have a bare, stripped down game that focuses on the fundamentals, or a glossy f1 game that has every feature you can think of but handles like mario kart? And when was the last time anyone on here bought a 100% perfect game?

For me it would.

There was nothing wrong with the graphics or physics in my opinion, so I don't think Codemasters need to spend too much time on that.

I'd therefore like to see Codemasters add extra to make you feel more a part of the F1 circus. As perfect a sim-arcade racer GT5 may be, there is no "part of it" feeling because you just press start, race, collect money, and go to a new event.

I'd also like the game to actually work when it first arrives. There were so many glitches and bugs in F1 2010 when it was first released that were absolutely no excuses possible for it.

You don't find anything wrong with uncontrollable, snap oversteer or the fact that hitting the brakes during any kind of spin automagically straightens your car out? Don't get me wrong. I love the game and find it incredibly fun and challenging on Expert, but having played GT5 for months before getting it there are some pretty serious physics flaws in F1 2010.

T4RG4 on the Codemasters forums has already said the physics engine has been completely rebuilt for 2011 so obviously they thought there were some issues with 2010 as well.

There were a lot of glitches, but I think they still did a far better job than f1ce. Podium or not. Obviously, we have different priorities. I'd rather they focus more on what happens on track than off. It is a racing game after all.

Of course it's a racing game. But as a racing game F1 2010 is perfectly fine since the first patch was released. I just wish they would implement things that you don't get in other F1 games and that keep you coming back to it. Unlike GT5 which is still the same old "press start to race, win money and get ready to repeat this 10 000 times".

It was a first attempt though. You can't expect it to be perfect. You also can't expect them to have the same features as F1CE. At least they didn't lie. F1CE's box stated that it had safety cars, but you don't hear everyone whining and saying "you stole our money" etc.

It was a first attempt. They can build on it. Each game will get better. There's only so much one group of people can do. I really enjoyed F12010, I will enjoy F12011 and I'll keep buying the games. After a few attempts, we'll probably have a the best F1 game.

This. Also do you happen to have a link, I'd like to read that thread.

F1 2010 already had a great physics engine, at least compared to any past F1 game. So if its completely rebuilt this time, we can be certain this game will have an amazing physics engine.

Looking forward to that! I guess I'm getting so used to the game it almost feels like there is no FFB at all sometimes...
