Well, I've decided it. I've got the single weirdest taste in cars, ever. Here's why.

I think these cars are beautiful:
- Current-spec Impreza WRX
- Ford Fusion
- Peugeot 307 SW
- Lancer EVO 7 or new EVO 8
- Volvo XC90
- Lexus ES250
- Ford Taurus sedan (current)
- Subaru Outback (current)

I see nothing wrong with these cars:
- BMW 3-series compact
- BMW 7-series
- Porsche Cayenne / VW Touareg
- Maybach
- Pontiac Aztek
- Honda Elemt

I think these cars are ugly:
- Nissan 350Z
- Nissan GT-R Concept
- Mini
- Acura CL
- Toyota Camry / Lexus ES300

Is there something the matter with me? :(

Im with you, M5Power. :)

I only like functional, everyday cars. Which my type of cars are kinda bland to some people.

Ha - when I was little, I would only by bland, everyday Matchbox cars. I bought some great ones - Volvo 760, Dodge Caravan, Honda Civic, Toyota SR5 hatch ... it was wild.

Hey M5, your avatar (Nissan Patrol/Safari UN version), it looks cool.

Ha! I've seen these things on the news for years and I began to fantasize about what the Iraqi citizens think when they see a convoy of them driving down the street... plus, some members didn't think they were cool, so I proved 'em wrong!

On these, I agree. The Fusion is iffy, but not bad. WRX quirky, but unique and a better Neon's face than the Neon.

Errmmmm, I'm going to have to call you on these: ;)
- the Taurus is just bland. I'm talking Honda-bland. Almost VW bland and inoffensive.
- the soon-to-be Lancer is deteriorating into the girl's sports car. First the Eclipse, now this?
- Lexus? If you mean the new ES300, it's Fugly bland. If you mean the old ES250 (like you actually wrote), then I would just have to say: 'eh. The CL would be considered "nothing wrong, but wholly uninteresting" to me, rather than ugly.
- Your view on the Aztek requires a second look. Passing it on the interstate at interstate speeds does not qualify you as a judge. :P Really. Sit behind one in traffic, then see if you don't revise your view.
- The Cayenne? See "Aztek".
- The Mini is very hit-and-miss; totally love-it-or-leave-it. I disagree, but that's as far as I go with the Mini. The GT-R concept falls under this category too...as does my opinion on it.
- The 350Z is not really ugly, so much as it's just not original. It's a peice of this, a bit of that, and whole lot of TT. It's a good assembly of someone else's parts. With a crappy V6. <-- I'm not kidding; just wait 6 months.
- And, um, don't get me started on the BMW 745i. :P

After reviewing the list, I find you guilty of Failure to Properly Interpret Automotive Design. You are hereby sentenced to 3 years at VAG's design school, followed by another 2 at Pininfarina, and I think Ian Callum can be arranged as your parole officer. :D

Ha! I actually think the new ES300 is horrible, but I love the look of the ES250 - they only made it for two years, and they managed to sell very few before going to the ES300 in 1992. I love it! *squeals with joy*

The Aztek isn't seriously that bad. Yeah, it's ugly, but by no means does it deserve ALL the negative press it got. Why, may I ask, is the Aztek so ugly when the new ES300 and Camry are allowed to drive around and not be insulted? They're UGLY!!!

Actually, the more 745i's I see, the worse I think they look. Frankly, the rear looks understated compared to the garguantuan wheels and tyres combined with the low-slung side-skirts.

Callum sure can design - that F-Type concept thing is the best looking car I've ever seen. I suppose they won't even consider making it, though...

:irk: Whew. You had me worried there for a while. :hypno:

Ford? Why would they do that? They have so many more unoriginal ideas to milk. Why waste time with untested new ideas? :P

 - I agree. Unoriginal ideas is what Ford has evolved to be! They can't just throw that away now, in the face of adversity!

You see NOTHING wrong with this car??

That thing is grotesque - and I love that it's on tiny little shopping trolley wheels, that really adds to the absurdity. Rear standing rail at the back, front indicators more prominent than headlights, recessed filler cap - this is a vehicle designed by a 10 year old.

is most ugly tham "homer mobile" ( the car momer simpson make for he's brother) sorry but i can't remenber the name.

Well, I think you've got some issues if you think the 350Z mings. However, got to agree with you on all the others.

I think all things 'bling-bling' are really cool. The old US mobiles, with hydraulics and dubs. 22" chromes on Hummers. All that stuff I dig.

Oh yeah, I saw a couple of these when I was in the States. They're heinous man. Like someone tried to rip off the Audi A2, but was blind, drunk AND on drugs in front of the CADCAM machine.

he says: "shopping trolley wheels" -perfect! :D as for the 350Z, I think it's fugly, and as I stated in another thread, would much rather have a "new" 1969 240z. the 350 just doesn't do it for me at all.

It came out a fair bit before the A2 - I think the A2 came out for 2001 or 2002. The Aztek came out in 1999.

It isn't styled that poorly. It's the most versatile vehicle in a long time, too.

Fair enough.
