500bhp+ 1.6l twincharged inline 4, and 300bhp hybrid system on top, essentially AWD and does 0-100mph faster than most cars do 0-60.. And sounds like proper supercar.

Jaguar should have definitely started to invest in the mid-engine market more. Just a shame the thing never saw the assembly line. I miss not being able to compare Ferraris to Jaguars.

Love this car SO much. Typical that this is my favourite of all the new breed of hybrid supercars and it's the very one that doesn't get built :(...

This is 2010 concept powered by gas turbines

The car you suggested is 2012-2013 prototype version (different engine, adjustable spoiler and so on). Could you please change the title? Should I suggest true 2010 version then?
Just change the title, it's easier

I unfortunetly can't change it. Only poster can. I would like to suggest 2010 version but I wouldn't like unnecessary duplicate comments
Directed at the thread creator, but quoting you ;)
If you want to make a new thread just explain the misunderstanding and you will be good to go

This car deserves a more detailed OP. :indiff:

When Jaguar first unveiled the C-X75 concept in 2010, it was the beginning of a new chapter in innovation and technological advancement that would see the car evolve from a design study to a fully working prototype in just two years.

In that incredibly short timespan, Jaguar and development partner Williams Advanced Engineering have created an all-wheel drive, plug-in parallel hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) with the world's highest specific power engine and Jaguar's first carbon composite monocoque chassis.

Although the decision was taken in 2012 that as a result of the global economic climate the C-X75 would not enter full production, it was clear that it was a powerful showcase for Jaguar's world-leading expertise in lightweight vehicle construction and the ideal test-bed for the company's innovative research into high-performance, low-emission powertrains.

The great achievements in the development of C-X75 prototypes - including cutting-edge hybrid technologies, carbon composite materials and advanced design solutions pioneered in association with Williams Advanced Engineering - will be utilised in other areas of research and development, innovative future products and next-generation engineering for the Jaguar and Land Rover brands.
________________________________________________

The C-X75 has a combined power output in excess of 850 hp and 1000Nm of torque, thanks to its state-of-the-art, Formula 1-inspired, 1.6-litre dual-boosted (turbocharged and supercharged) four-cylinder powerplant which generates 502 hp at 10,000 rpm.

It is allied to the highest torque and power density electric motors in production, which generate a further 390 horsepower. The battery pack in the C-X75 is the highest continuously rated power PHEV pack in the world, capable of delivering more than 300kW over the full state of the charge window.

The C-X75 can sprint from 0-100mph in less than six seconds, thanks to its advanced 7-speed automated manual transmission that allows gearshifts in under 200 milliseconds. The very first C-X75 prototype exceeded 320 km/h in testing with ease, and the car has a theoretical maximum velocity of 355 km/h.

The car's deployable aerofoil and underfloor aerodynamics create more than 200kg of downforce at 200mph, and active systems enhance its high-speed stability.

The next DLC for DRIVECLUB, the Apex Tour, will feature this amazing looking C-X75. It is a huge shame that Jaguar pulled the plug on a production version.

This car deserves a more detailed OP. :indiff:
Yes it does, mainly because things here are confusing. There are two different C-X75 concepts, I don't know the correct year for each but the OP requests the original one while showing a video of the second one, the one you just posted. :irked:

It would be easier if you just created a thread for the second concept...

.............Whenever I see a fire extinguisher included in a road car, it makes me slightly "apprehensive" about the vehicle in question - it's not gonna spontaneously go kablooey with me in it, is it?

The version @Tsukishima posted is prototype version. There is a thread about concept version I made

I know I posted about the Concept II, I asumed it was the one the OP wanted since the video was about it.

This car made me so pissed off at Jaguar. They finally made a car that could glorify their 50s Le Mans cars today but they don't put it into production.

It could have been competing against the like of Ferrari, Porsche, and McLaren with their hybrid hypercars... But Jaguar pulled the plug on a production version:banghead:
