Hi guys.

I've searched for this "bug" but there weren't any results.

Today, I won the Jaguar XJ220 (Right?) race car, great car.

But in my quest for 50% I was checking the Japanese hall, and I found that you can use the Jag for the All Japanese Championship (The one at the top, I don't know for sure 'bout the name..)!

I've got the PAL version.

Is this a bug or what?

Greets,
Maas

Oh ok, yes that's the Championship I was talking about.

Well I do think it's wierd, since it's All Japan...:s

Not really, its like entering the BTCC with a Honda, its not a nation-specific championship in terms of cars, but it is in terms of tracks (although with BTCC it tends to be the cars entered are available in the UK market, but thats not the point).

The double post wasn't my idea, no idea why there are two of them.

But anyway, thanks for helping.

I didnt know that you could enter that championship with any car either, but maybe someone could explain why you can enter The German Touring Car championship ( on european events, the one where you win the Mercedes CLK Race car ) in a Alfa Romeo 155 v6 touring car???, there is even one that competes against you, even though Alfa Romeo is quite clearly Italian

Same as JGTC, in this case the German Touring Car championship is emulating the DTM series, which isn't restricted to German-only cars, back in the 90s the 155 was run in the series and I believe one came 3rd in the 1996 championoship. Hell, even a Rover was champion in 1986!

Again, the "German" or "Japanese" part of the name mainly refers to the locations the championship visits and not necessarily the nationalities of the cars or drivers. Even in F1, where all of the teams are European, its still a "World" championship because it races on tracks all over the world and is open to any drivers or teams from any country, it just so happens most come from Europe.

I see, always wondered why that car appeared in the championship, since its the one i always do to raise some quick cash, around £200,000 for the races and the title cash, and the whopping £750,000 for the Merc Race car you get as a price, and it only takes about 20 minutes to do.

Although I found it a little weird that the DTM in GT4 goes to Fuji. I would have thought that in the spirit of DTM they would have stuck to European tracks then GT tracks and not Fuji.
