I saw this car a few years ago at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and it was instantly my favourite car of the show!! It was my fave endurance car of GT4 and now i have obtained it for GT5, i'd love to use it for the Le-Mans & Nürburgring 24h races. But there is one issue thats bothering me and its those damn red-hot smoking rear tires!!!
Now im definitely not a mash the button as hard as possible and hope for the best kind of guy and i have smooth steering and throttle control but this still doesn't prevent the tires smoking withn a lap of the Nordschleife and 2 of La Sarthe!!!
The only settings i have altered from default are increasing downforce as i find this minimizes sliding thus reducing tire wear, and softening the bound to absorb the bumpier track. I drive with a ds3 (don't have a wheel) and have all aids off except abs (1). Is this a fault with the coding of the car or can it be banished. Any help or advice will be grateful
P.s Have looked for tunes but the only onels i found were for GT4, and there was never tire overheating in that game as we all know!!

5/5/5 diff will calm the behaviour under acceleration massively and will mean instead of controlling throttle and hoping you don't get sent into a hedge backwards you'll control throttle to avoid wheelspin and not much else.

Thanks Adrenaline and Rotary Junkie for the help. I did see Groundowl's tune and thought it too similar to mine to be that much different. Tried it nonetheless and also tried the 5/5/5 (thanks Rotary Junkie;-) diff setting and a combo of the above. The diff setting definitely delayed the onset of red tires, but they were still smoking before the lap was out!!!! Even turned the dreaded tcs up a couple of notches but all this did was dull the acceleration, didnt prevent overheating tires?!?! I think the fundamental prob is the stock setting of 870+bhp v -900kg. The real life car had circa 750bhp and im not sure the car in GT4 had as much as 870+ in stock form. If this is universal and what appears to be a coding mistake this is disappointing as it has kinda ruined what was a brill enduro car :-(

Overheating tires?

Have you updated your GT5 install? The earlier versions had problems where tires would slowly gain heat and eventually stay a constant light red and smoke at pretty much all times.

You, my friend, are possibly the most helpful person i've come across. Normally, the usual reply is one of sarcasm, belittlement and patronizing smugness. How nice to find someone who ACTUALLY helps when you ask.
Anyway, enough ego massaging, i have to admit to not being online ( sad, i know!! ), and haven't updated any GT5 aspect.!!! But i have friends that are and could hook my ps3 up. So i have a couple of questions, which, im afraid, are gonna sound retarded!!! ( sorry! ).
(1): Will i need my own online account to access the upgrade?
(2): Do i need to find a specific GT5 install upgrade to download or is it general, all encompassing, game upgrade?
(3): Will it affect any saved game progress or data?
(4): Will it load the update automatically on 1st start-up of game or will i have to install the new data pre-game or post load up?
(5): Are there any facets of the game that the upgrade's actually made worse!!?

Retreating back to my cave now with dunce cap firmly on!!!

1. No you don't. (But in this case, your friend needs one)
2. When your PS3 is online, it downloads automatically the newest patch (which contains every earlier patch).
3. No your savegame won't be affected.
4. 1. start-up (see 2.)
5. No, everything is better (as long as you don't trade)

^Cheers Dr Slump.
This must be my lucky day!!! Not one but two very helpful and friendly replies. Cheers guys

No prob.

We are all nice guys (almost...) and as long as you don't ask 🤬 things like: "Hey guys, I need a tune! I've searched very long but couldn't find a tune. HELP!........"
Usually, it would be no prob to ask this, but when there are several tunes which could be found in 10sec, we get angry.

Thats nice to kno. Its just, through experience, that the replies i've had in the past have been sarcastic and very condescending!! Some 17 yr old who can sit in front of a monitor for 12hrs a day, with no life, no wife (i have both, but some would argue that if you have the latter, you DEFINITELY don't have the former, lol !!!) and put down someone else who hasn't been able to spend 4hrs (which they don't have [me] ) looking for an answer to a question. In my job humility, patience and politeness are a must if you wanna be busy. Some members on here need to realise that coz otherwise they're just gonna get a reputation for being nasty!!

I prefer a reputation of nasty versus ignorant. Not necessarily directed at you, but since we're making blanket statements, why not.

I feared someone wouldn't 'get' my ironic sarcasm laced through my post. Oh well, i guess thats reserved for the 'senior' members handing out 'help & advice'. Now THATS a mother f@cking blanket statement!!
(joke)
Not necessarily directed at you Adrenaline.
