this is a six lap race and my car can't do anything. Do I pit stop? If so, why don't the other cars pit stop? Where's the pit stop?

Not strictly a race report, so I've moved it back to the main GT4 forum.

We're going to need some more information to help you out. For a start, WHICH Motegi track? There's FOUR.

What race is it, what car are you trying to do it in, what cars are the AI opponents, what tyres are you using, what power is it at, what settings are you using?

All of these are key to helping you out in your query.

Where's the pit stop?

Welcome to GTP.
To answer the above have a look at this thread.
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=92023

Pitstops are required if you need new tyres and or fuel.

Referring to your other posts and threads, yes every race has either a fixed set of laps or time. May I humbly suggest you read through the sticky threads too. You may find that they answer lots of questions I see you may have in the near future.

And as Famine pointed out be specific and you'll get a member or more that will be glad to help you out.

AMG.

The only two 6 lappers at Motegi use the full course - these being the All-Japan GT C'ship and the PD Cup.

this is a six lap race and my car can't do anything.
1. Plug in controller (as you seem to have managed to enter the race you have probably already done this)
2. When the race starts press the accellerator (X)
3. Once you have mastered 2 it gets tricky: you will need to both brake(O) and turn (<-, ->) - remember to only turn when the track turns

Do I pit stop?
If your car can't do anything then you won't be able to pit. When your car can do something you will never need to pit on a 6 lap race.

Where's the pit stop?
Pit lane (which runs parallel to the start/finish straight)

Tyre wear is off in GT4 Simulation Mode for single-digit-lap races. And I don't think you'd run out of gas.

What if it's at Nurburgring?

There are no 6 lap races at the Nurburgring (except possibly in arcade mode or family cup - can't remember if you can set the number of laps there). So, with the qualification that exactly 6 laps must be raced to complete the event, there are no 6 lap races where you will need to pit.

What if you're REALLY slow in the 4 hour Endurance? *reaches for more straws*

Then you wouldn't need tires (as you are going slow), nor fuel (as your car obviously has a sewing machine for an engine). Or you have a Prius, which never uses up fuel.

lol, how can your car not do anything, maybe try, buying the car that is hardest to beat, or adding Downforce and better tires.

Why are there some many unhelpfull people in here? Thanks for the no-help and your jack ass comments. I used a soft tire and I didn't have any issues. That's what the answer was.

Ya, thanks buddy. Next time, don't be an ass!

If you clearly said what the problem was in the first place than we could give a better answer.
I still don't know actually. Was the car to slow?
And the other cars aren't going to pit when they don't need new tires.

GTPlanet helps those who help themselves. You posted:

No reference to the car, the specific nature of the problem or, indeed, the track you're on (there's FOUR Motegi tracks). And it turns out that the solution is:

I used a soft tire and I didn't have any issues. That's what the answer was.

There is no natural way to arrive at that conclusion and tell you that it's the answer to your problem from the paucity of information you deigned to give us.

So don't act all put out because a 100,000 member community didn't respond to your query with the exact answer immediately. It's like driving into a large town and bellowing in the street "My motorbike's broken!". With no reference to the nature of the fault or what the motorbike actually is, no-one will be able to help you - of the small fraction of the population that are passing who might be able to help you if they had the requisite information.

Are you smoking crack, or just trying to be funny? You give us THIS to go on:

And then you have the nerve to cop an attitude with US?! You're living in a fantasy world if you believe that:

A) your initial question was valid in any way, and
B) your response here is an appropriate post considering your initial question.

We are NOT here to spoon feed you and wipe your face with your bib. And since you seem to require that, we are definitely not going to tolerate any attitude and rudeness out of you when we fail to provide you with complete, detailed, in-depth information in reply to your every lazy, inane question.

Consider this a warning. Next time it's an infraction, and it won't be a small one. Reconsider your attitude and get off your lazy virtual ass and look for answers BEFORE posting any further questions.

I know. I didn't understand Nezdogg's question that's why I didn't respond immediately.

"my car can't do anything" What does that mean? Is he literally sitting there at the starting line waiting for it to move? :dunce: Oy.

Molocho_horridus's reply:

...seems entirely appropriate given the fact that Nezdogg's car "can't do anything"

Welcome Nezzdogg!
It would appear as though you have stepped hip deep into the muck and mire of satirical reparte! I too have exhibited a certain amount of technical ignorance when posting, and for that matter, a certain amount of ignorance in general.
Good Sir, do not take the comments to heart! Revise your approach, revise your question, and as i have found to be the case, you will have more assistance than you probably can use.
So be of good cheer! Enjoy the resources of this community of mixed nuts! And in general, if I may be so bold, LIGHTEN UP!
Yours In Jest

Thats not a good way to start off at GTPlanet. I know next time I won't help.
