Japanese Race Cars vs. LeMans Race Cars

I don't really know how to classify them, but I'm comparing the cars like the Minolta, R92, and 787B to the R8, Speed 8, Pescarolo, C-9 and V12 LMR. If they are of different classes then which class is better, and if not, then which of these cars (all of them, not only the ones mentioned above) is the best, cause I'm stuck in GT World Championship and I can't make any significant progress with my Minolta or R92CP.

I don't know but cretainly I don't like those Japanese cars... I like and currently I use Audi R8 Race car and V12 LMR and actually for me, they're one of the best in handling and speed... As tested around the Nurburgring...

About being stuck in the GT WC, it's hard for me to choose which car sould you be in...

LMP cars hands down. R8 is the best all rounder imo. Pescarolo lacks top end speed. The Audi handles like it's on rails. Like KidrauhlM5 said, either one of the two does the trick. Personally though, I prefer the R8.

Errr, they are all Le Mans cars...

Emmm... what can I say???

Simply, the R92 and the Minolta are the Le Mans Race Car, but they don't drive and feel like Le Mans Race Car... Different than driving a V12LMR, Pescarolo and Audi R8... That's just my opinion...

Nothing. I wasn't saying anything to you which is why I didn't quote you. You told him specifically what car to use. You didn't just say, "Use the Le Mans cars" unlike the person my comment was aimed at.

All of the cars you mention have raced in the Le Mans 24hr. Two of them in Group C, three in LMP1.

Wow... What a fantastic research!!! Thanks and that pretty sums up everything :)

It's worth noting that the fastest non-F1 in the game - the Minolta - was a very, very unremarkable Le Mans car and was beaten in the one event it participated in by two other cars in GT4 (Sauber C9 [1st], Nissan R89C [22nd]). It finished 53rd, but only actually managed 20 laps...

Owh really... I think Sauber C9, Audi R8 and V12 LMR is one of the nicest... But yeah everyone in GT4 somehow like the Minolta... and actually yes it's very, very fast!!! But it doesn't ride as comfortable as the Audi R8 and the cornering is a bit nervous with the Minolta... But anyway, it's a legend!!!

Using the Minolta in the GTWC is a simple formula that's been told time and time again. Swap tyres to R2 front, R1 rear. Pit at 1/2 distance. Win each and everytime. It's not a hard championship, just people make it harder than it needs to be.

you forgot the ford gt40 racecar 69

Well, I prefer the R8 or the Pescarolo from '04. And you know what I found out? THe Pescarolo has to stop much later than the R8 on La Sarthe 1, don't know why, but you can do 2 laps more with the Pescarolo on this circuit than the R8. Can anyone explain me?

It's not often Famine makes a mistake, and even rarer that someone points one out with their first post! :P

This thread has your classification answer for all the various racecars.

These 2 threads will help you find all the info you need to beat the GTWC, but basically this is the hardest race series in GT4 to beat, so if you don't have the driving skills and have relied on tuning your way out of trouble or way-overpowering your opposition with a 900HP Skyline (or such like) then you're going to need to practice, practice, practice until you can drive 10 - 15 cleanish laps at each of these circuits and follow Famine's advice with respect to pitstops:

I need Tips for GT4 World Championship.

Gran Turismo world Championship

Since these threads cover all the answers to your issues, and they're done elsewhere already, discussion should continue in the appropriate threads for classification or GTWC help.
