Jeff Gordon Nascar school ASM always on?

I am trying my best to complete these, but having trouble with the Advanced ones. I realize that all this time ASM has been on, so I go to the menu where I would normally turn it off, BUT I CAN'T????

Anyone know why or is this a glitch or something?

If you have a DFGT, its easy to turn it off in game at the start. If not, map buttons so you can do so. The challenges are extremely easy once you turn off ASM.

Haha, I just did the ABS trick. Its annoying you can't just turn off the ASM, even though I wasn't braking on Daytona at all anyways. Anyways, I just got all god on my first try!

ASM is not the same as ABS.

He seems to be aware of that. He used the word "trick" and mentions that he doesn't even use the brakes during the challenge.

Seriously the ABS trick is what you need. on the last test at daytona i allways got behind the field except on a couple of tries. turning OFF ABS i was able to overtake everyone within the first lap. thats BS tbh.. hehe

ABS is on for pretty much everything in GT, because many of the people who play GT drive hamfisted, with all the subtlety of a bull in a china shop. Saves noobs from themselves. Be warned when your chassis gets warped, braking becomes very hard to control without ABS.

Just access the RA menu when in race and you can turn off ASM. Prior to doing so I couldn't win. Once I turned ASM off I beat all on my first try by about 2 seconds.

That's a touch elitist don't you think Savage? I drive a mixture of ABS on OFF or 1, simply because some cars can be driven with it on OFF relatively easily whereas other cars have braking similar in subtly to as you called it 'a bull in a china shop' hence I use ABS at 1.

I use ABS 1 cos it compensates for the fact that I can't feel the brakes. Soon as they start pumping force feedback through the pedals I'll turn it off.
