Hello, good evening and what are you doing here??? :sly:

Welcome to my new video series on Youtube, aided and abetted by my new Elgato recorder.

So the plan for this channel is twofold, initially I will be uploading videos of the career challenges, Goodwood special events and seasonal events as they are released.

But the plan for the future is much more exciting... 💡

I will be using videos to record my testing regime of cars over the course of my time on GT6.
Each car will be stock (or with minimal mileage for the really expensive cars)
other than for a change of paint where desired.

Everything else will be stock from the showroom, including the tyres acquired with the vehicle.

For each car selected for testing (initially only "premium" cars will be tested) I will be running the following regime:

1) An initial series of Race events in Career mode if there is an appropriate race to enter, to enable me to get atleast a little used to the handling of each vehicle, and to earn credits towards the next vehicle.

2) A time trial on one of 3 world tracks, the best of 3 laps will be taken as the test time. To provide what I hope will be interesting results, I have decided testing will be on the
Willow Springs (Big Willow) track for US vehicles, Mount Panorama (Bathurst) for Asian or
Australasian vehicles and the Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit for European vehicles.

There should be enough Premium vehicles in each region category to keep this interesting and provide a suitable range of individual lap times over a period of time.

2) Time trial challenge at Goodwood Hillclimb track (Festival of Speed) (best of 3 runs)

3) Top speed test and Lap time at Route X (tested at dawn because it looks more coooooooool that way)

Clearly the top speed test cannot be more precise than to the nearest mph until PD decide to return the speed tests from GT5 - if they do this in the future, I will adapt the testing regime accordingly... (fingers crossed someone at PD reads this )

All of this will be collated on a spreadsheet including the Goodwood and Route X leaderboards and I will post the results on here when available.

I must iterate that my skill level isn't great, even after 15 years of playing Gran Turismo. So, yes, I will be using some aids on these cars, including sacre bleu the SRF option, though even I don't use the driving line or active steering.
And yes I know this may mean that my results are not "scientific" enough for some viewers but my skill level has to be taken into account in this testing regime... :nervous:

So initially I have started by uploading videos of the Goodwood Festival of Speed events, which can be found on Youtube here:

All gold runs of course :sly:

There are many more videos to be added by a future update (are these "placeholder" videos? ) and I will accumulate them in this forum as and when each car test is completed :D

If you like my videos then please like and subscribe to my channel, which also contains some rFactor videos (and yes I use aids on that game too...) and other assorted tat.

Feedback on the testing regime and especially the videos themselves would be appreciated as if you make a really good suggestion I may amend the testing regime accordingly! :D

I have also added a poll, because you can never have too many polls :mischievous:

I have added Gold runs of 5 seasonal events including some from last week which I hope you enjoy.

Love the new Toyota FT-1 Concept but the handling certainly takes a bit of getting used to...

Please note that I have now added videos for the three Moon special events. Some random driving and a very biiiiiig jump included which got me a "One Giant Leap" trophy :D

A very special musical accompaniment to the second video which any Gerry Anderson fans should appreciate...

Again, please let me have suggestions for any car and track combos you would like to see, and PLEASE vote in the poll to determine which car will be first to be tested in accordance with my ongoing testing regime. Thank you.

Got a 2:03.798 on the AMG VGT Racing Series super lap at Mount Panorama.
Vid of the lap is here... Feel like I could still get a bit more out of a lap, though I'm getting a bit more used to the stretch down from the top of the mountain with practice.

And, to repeat, as I always make clear. I use aids for various reasons (skill level and time available being 2 of them). So yes, I'm not trying to compete in any way with anyone who doesn't use aids. In fact i'm waaaaaaaaaaay slower than them anyway.

I hope you enjoy the lap. The Corvette Stingray lap is also here...

Finally, I now have the City Trials event uploaded on the channel which you can find here...:

Been away for 2 weeks due to work :yuck: but back now and so here comes my vids of the FR Challenge which I did using the Toyota FT-1 Concept, tried very hard to like driving it as much as I looooove looking at it , but sadly the sluggish handling means it's never going to be my favourite car to drive :grumpy: Still I hope you all enjoy the vids. More to come soon

Been too long and too little going on with GT6 but finally we have a surge of content arriving and with that a surge of videos on my channel (maybe...)

First of all, here are some videos of the fantastic new BMW Vision Gran Turismo Concept

Firstly my really dire time if 2m00.247 on the Super Lap, but hey it got me the car and a few credits:

And now, ladies and gentlemen, here is the debut of the BMW Vision Gran Turismo at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed (possibly...) :sly: and a respectable time of 0m45.521

See my other thread for my car test results. FT-1 Concept and more cars to follow :)

Another video of the fantastic new BMW Vision Gran Turismo Concept
This time its a top speed test run at Route X at dawn

Its limited to 186mph sadly, and you cant change the transmission, but still a pretty awesome drive.
Lap time on Route X for completeness was 6m13.273

Sheer Driving Pleasure

The sadly overlooked Mitsubishi Vision GT XR PHEV thingy (overshadowed by the arrival of the Senna tribute to some extent) needs our love... So here's an attempt to help out with a Super Lap video. I will add some more videos if/when I have time.

Hope you enjoy the vid :nervous: :D

And here's a surprise late addition just for the fans, the old Plymouth XNR Ghia Roadster super lap from a while ago, with added tire smoke at the big right hander just for effect

Sorry it's been a while so i can't remember if this is gold or not... :guilty:

Here is an extra special Arcade race at Monaco (Cote D'Azur) with Senna in the Lotus.

While watching and playing the Senna tribute I was reminded of that classic race where Senna was being chased by Mansell all around the circuit hence I chose the Monaco circuit for my first Lotus F1 vid.

The video has a special opening courtesy of Murray Walker  and THAT tune :D

Please enjoy and comment if you like the vid. More content on its way... :gtpflag:

Here is my (Spandau Ballet) GOLD lap on the special Aston Martin online event at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Though it must be easier than normal as I managed a 0m51.121 run which was way too much overkill since 0m52.999 would have been enough... :sly:

I included the slo-mo shots of the track since this may be our last chance to enjoy that Lotus sculpture before the update on 26 June...

Please enjoy and comment if you like the vid. :gtpflag:

Some preview footage from this weekend's Red Bull Ring grand prix  with the late great Ayrton Senna making a surprise ghostly guest appearance ...

Please enjoy and comment if you like the vid. :gtpflag:

Here's my Gold super lap in the VW GTI concept event. Handles just like a GTI should, just the right amount of slide around the corners... 👍

Please enjoy and comment if you like the vid. :gtpflag:

Here you will find some exclusive highlights from the British Grand Prix, before it has even happened ;)

And as a bonus, here is my quickest lap on the final GT Academy event. I didn't spend too long on this as I'm no Jann Mardenborough (sp) so got my silver in and went away happy...

Please enjoy and comment if you like the vid. :gtpflag:

Here I have added my super laps of the Nissan 2020 Vision Concept and the Aston Martin DP-100 VGT, gold for the Aston Martin but only silver so far for the Nissan (must try harder!) :embarrassed:

As an added bonus I have also added quick videos showing all the colours available for both concept cars

Personally I love the lava red Nissan and the striped shiny silver Aston Martin. I may have to buy ALL the colours

Please note that I have now added videos for the three Moon special events. Some random driving and a very biiiiiig jump included which got me a "One Giant Leap" trophy :D

Wow!!!! video #2 had awesome driving skills, epic air time & music from two of my favorite Gerry Anderson tv series Space 1999 & UFO (Only true GA fans know about "UFO" very cool tv series & wicked awesome opening theme music.)

Thank you for posting that video. FAB.

Just wish I could give that post a double "like"...

I used the same tune I use in all my vids. Default lol. I've never been one to bother with tuning to be honest.

Glad you're liking the vids.
