Given the costly Porsche expansion on the 22nd, I've got the feeling that the upcoming monthly DLC will feature the big hitting, late-model cars everyone has been expecting, simply as a way to sweeten another 560pt purchase. I'm thinking '13 Shelby GT500 or Boss 302, Subaru BR-Z, new BMW 3-series et al.

Thoughts?

Also, please lets not turn it into a wishlist, I think there's logical inclusions that would get a mainstream audience after a costly May.

Probably from anyone that read into Dan Greenawalt's comment where he said something like; Tracks aren't as profitable as cars, on one of the last Che Chou ran pod-casts.

Its our own fault we are not getting tracks, they released track DLC on forza 3 and hardly anyone bought it and it takes a lot of work to make a track.

I bought it...

And then begged for more. :P

I believe the podcast i am referring to is Episode 9. Right now I am attempting to down load it, but for some reason that podcast in particular has stopped responding. Resetting my window to see if it will respond then.

While I was there I grabbed Episode 8. I think I remember Episodes 10 and 11. 10 Introduced Brian Ekberg and 11 was the last podcast before they revealed FM4...

Aaaannd now NONE of the podcasts are working...

Hmmm.

I'm not sure I quite get the logic behind that assumption, but I sure hope it's true. I've wanted the Boss 302 for a while now, and the new 3-series and BR-Z would be great too.

A normal person would see this idea of a "popular cars" pack as a sound business decision. Bundle all the new cars that people have been begging for, and it will sell like hotcakes. Would certainly make GT5's DLC look like a pile of puke.

I don't think that's how it works. It hasn't been the case so far at least.
What you do is bunch 1 or 2 good cars with 8 less wanted ones, then make the best car a PACK LOCKED car requiring people to buy the whole pack for just the single vehicle. That's what I've noticed and have noticed people seeing it that way as well.

Yeah I know that, what I'm saying though is if they have a pack that has all cars that a majority of people will want, there's a better chance of more people buying the pack. Sure there will be people that buy a pack simply for the one great car, however there are one or more people who will see the pack and not want to spend the money for the pack, even if it means missing out on the one car. However, I could also see the decision of waiting until FM5 to release the cars.

The sad truth :(

Which tracks were in that pack again? I couldn't differentiate new content from stock content in FM3 since I bought the game wayyyy after its release, and purchased every DLC en masse so I never really knew the difference.

I believe it was Nurburgring GP. :)

Yes that was the track. A great track too and had alot of bumps and elevation changes and what not. I thought it was one of the best but I guess not enough people bought it. I really wish they'd take a chance and get one out though. They gotta know the big name tracks certainly would sell.

The problem with the GP track is it wasn't connected to the main track. I think it would have sold like hotcakes if they did that.

People have moaned at each pack for not having certain cars, why x car was added to a racing game, etc. If they've saved the 'popular' cars for one pack, then it's likely to make decent sales, even after a month like this one, where DLC has cost 2160 points.

But if the limit of my garage is only 350 cars.... i'don't want other car's dlc if i can't put others cars in my garage :(
I prefer a track's DLC with SPA :)

It's hardly our fault, there where no public lobbies in F3, track wasn't incorporated into single player, we were left to play it in hoppers, once in a while, and private matches :-(

Exactly right.

Turn 10 only have themselves to blame for the poor dlc track integration in the last game.

I bought it, but began to regret it because of this very reason.

I think T10 will be more successful with a track pack if they released it now with FM4. Look at how the DLC cars have their own rivals events. That can easily be done with a DLC track. And these extra empty event boxes in events list can get a few events specific to the track, unless Porsche events are taking them all up.

The limit is 550. There are already 600+ cars including unicorns.

I guess this would be a problem for people who want to own every single car in the game, but not all of us do. Its great to be able to just pick any car and use it in free play mode, and the more cars to choose from, the nicer it is.

What sucks about tracks is that to add new ones on disc, older ones need to be sacrificed, unless they continue to add more discs full of nothing but tracks.

No longer any need for theories, the June Meguiar's Car Pack will be revealed later on this week.
