Such a random question but I have been having a lot of stress over my health lately.

If you don't know your a diabetic, when you do the blood sugar level prick test, can that show up if your a diabetic or not?

Much help would be great thanks

I'm not a doctor but I doubt it. It will just tell you your current blood sugar levels.

Why do you think you are diabetic?

Well be aux ethe doctor said my blood levels aren't normal I can't remember what he said I've been so stressed so I'm hoping I'm not diabetic

As my father and grandfather were diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, and I get tested yearly for this, I can also say a urine test is also performed. Fortunately, I still haven't been diagnosed with it (blood sugar levels come back normal).

Usually, a doctor would do a lot more testing if something was amiss, although fasting for 10-12 hours and then having a blood test would probably yield a far more accurate result.
