What are the chances that Gran Turismo 6 will have cars and features that have not been previously mentioned? Does PD usually release all of the details about their GT games before the release, or are we going to be in for some surprises when we play this for the first time?

In what respect do you think? In Gran Turismo 5, was the car list complete? Were all the available cars in the game, sans DLC, listed on the GT website prior to release, or were there some curve balls thrown in?

Absolutely, what however I cannot say but would be hopeful that it maybe more cars as there was mention made of 200 new cars for GT6 and only 130 approx revealed to this point if that's the case. It would be great if they do this and have saved the "heavy hitters" to the last minute for the launch party at Ascari. That is just my speculation on what it may be. What reality is is a whole other story

Surprises are good. I don't recall many with GT5 on release day. One thing that bugs me is the term "Official Track List" and "Official Car List" and how they post in on the GT site. The term for me means, that's what your getting on release day without patches. Even if they blacked out place holders on the GT site, it still lets us know the number of Tracks and/or cars that will be there. I like the element of surprise to a degree. For example, if they retraced their roots back to GT4, I would be ecstatic. As eager as I am to know of career mode, I prefer to find out once I have it on hand. Cars, I don't care about as far as spoilers. Let there be more than 7 new tracks on day one. Let there be unlockable/unseen events beyond what we have seen so far. Let there be manufacturers races, duo special events or something equal. Revealing too much tags the game as lacking this or that. That's one reason why I don't think advertisements have been heavy yet. After the holidays, I expect advertisements to get a bit heavier. They will probably reveal a little more but I hope they still hold back some things.

I notice that the track list doesn't list any of the various layouts for each track. I'm sure the different configurations of Cape Ring and Nürburgring will be there, but I'm hoping for a few surprises, like maybe Fuji '80's and an expanded SSRX.

Not listing the variations is a good thing. Most people that know their tracks can assume certain variations will be prestent. Me, I am only familiar with all GT, F1 2010 and Shift 2 gaming tracks. Outside of that is all guesses to me. PD claims to introduce a new track every month. This puzzles me. A track a month is 12 a year last time I counted...and how long was GT5 in production. Don't get me wrong I will definitely appreciate dlc track but only if they can be used in career mode. If they can't, I won't bother downloading them even if they are free.

I am sure Seattle and Midfield will be among those tracks as dlc unless they hid them from public eye and they are already on the day one disk.
