It looks to me that perhaps the best US GT players are form the West coast. RackAttack, and three of the final four from last year GTA (Portland, Shasta, and Fresno, (GTP??)). I know I am probably committing some sort of logical fallacy, but it makes me feel like I live in the right region.;)

Where I live were all about Ovals... :( But racing is everywhere and I don't think one region is any better then the other :)

West Coast has always been about car culture, so it makes sense that they would have better "drivers". Down south it's more of a truck culture with a dip in your mouth and your sister in your lap.

Plenty of race teams and drivers have come from the south, but more so from the West.

In last years GT Academy I believe 6 of the 16 silverstone racers were actually from the Northeast. Where's the love for the Northeast?? lol.
However, Brian H. is from Cali - so the West does deserve some love too.

Same here... in my city, if you can drive, you run ovals or drag. (Richmond, Virginia)

There are a few weekend warriors at VIR though.

A lot of NASCAR love around here.

Are you southerns the ones always doing the online NASCAR races at Daytona? How come no love for the Indy track? For some reason I am surprised how much someone can do the same track in the say car everyday. I can never keep up.

I know I'm not technically in the top, but I am 14th right now, and from the midwest. Also, I love NASCAR but I don't get why they do the same track over and over again, mix it up a little :)

I'm not a fan of NASCAR on GT5... it's fine, just not for me. Indy would be my preference though. Daytona is great, but why ONLY Daytona?

If NASCAR open up the rules, increased HP, lowered the weight, and did a 50/50 schedule of ovals and road courses, I would be their biggest fan. Is that too much to ask for?

I might try out the Motegi track, it should be fun in a nascar. Too bad no indycars in the game. if Sato would not have pulled a Sato this year at the 500, I bet Indycar would have been in the next Download.

I still say Dario made an illegal block :grumpy:

Woop woop! I don't care what anybody says, NASCAR needs more road courses. I'm looking at you Road Atlanta and Laguna Seca!

totally agree, so many road courses to add to the schedule, bring back rockingham though and get rid of all the damn duplicate races. Montreal would be a nice one too. Their chase should also consist of at least 2 road course races also IMO.

Im here on the east coast in Virginia Beach im sitting 15th in US. I grew up with dirt track racing lol. I used to race on dirt track and sell tires and pit crew for my cousin who drives a late model.

One race at Kansas was pushing it, now two :yuck: The only duplicate worthwhile is Daytona, would like to see them race Daytona's road course too.

I've only lived in Cali for 4 years, I'm from Ohio.

Midwest pride!

I understand why you would want to join the winning side of the Mississippi, jk. But the mid-west has my favorite form of racing, indycars.
