Just another Formula GT report

I have completed the Formula GT cup for the third time now. I thought I might share some of my data with you. This is probably just one of many write-ups before and after.

First some remarks on my strategy:
- Whenever I felt it is necessary I qualified.
- I only changed downforce and suspension in the setup. All other possible tuning was done to achieve a good compromise.
- A-Spec points ranged from 60 to 111, depending on my downforce setting only.
- I was able to pit at the same lap as the AI, sometimes up to three laps later (Highspeed Ring and Le Mans).
- I never refueled on the first pitstop. Never refueled more than
- Most races per day was four. I did only one per day on the other occasions.

you can't...thats the thing...all F1 cars come with the same kind of tires. so don't bother looking for a place to change them...b/c unless you have a cheat :( ...you cant change it. hope that helped you.

also...wunderkid...just out of curiousity...what places did you rank on the races?

Wow - this formula race i assume is under the "extreme" hall - which I haven't yet unlocked. I am very surprised to see the races run well over the hour mark in some races, it must be one hell of a challenge to remain focused for such a long period of time with such a powerful car.

One question for you - did you turn the traction controls off?

how exactly do you qualify for the races anywyas? i hear if you do you start in a better poll position. also what are the setting on yours because my settings give it great turning and acceleration but through a straight it dies.

To qualify you go to practice its not available on single races though unfortunately :indiff: and also double posting is frowned upon here.

Well, I won all races. Once i get in the lead of a race it becomes easy. And if you played through the championship once you know when the Ai cars make mistakes. Even if they pit less often they can not beat me because my lap times are fast enough to open enough distance.

I only play with driving aids on. maybe i will try it without them next time.

I'd like to know that answer too. I mean... Now i'm used to do 2hr endurances and have been doing a few 4hr, and with different cars. Somehow, I liked most when I was in a powerfull car compared to when I was not.
Tokyo and GVS in JGTC feels a little better than, say, Amuse S2000 or NSX on El Capitan (besides the fact that EC is a Top 3 track in the game).

I just did the Tokyo race thismorning. I pitted 10 times (every 6 laps), so i didnt spin too often; I'm doing it without TCS/ASM + Manual.
I find it easier to run each lap like a qualifyer (high 13s/low 14s depending on tyres). It worked ok - I won by about a lap and a half.

Am I doing it a stupid way??

-

Also, I've heard that the cars go insanely fast round the 'ring. What sort of lap times and pit strategies do they run?
