Are ther any specific things you are wanting to know about it? I don't really know what to tell you other than its a great camera. I've got a D50 and a D80, had a D70 but i sold it in order to help pay for the D80's purchase. Off the top of my head other than its all around great is that unlike most cameras the 3200 iso mode doesnt have much noise when used. Thats nice.

Yeah forgot to say that I have a the 18-70 lens and a 70-300 lens .

any idea if I could control how strong the flash is ? I tried reading the manual but couldn't find anything and it assumes that I'm a pro lol

When you're in manual modes (such as aperture priority, shutter priority, etc.) you can adjust it. Simply press and hold the flash button to have it pop up and in the top lcd you'll see the flash options; just turns the dials to mess with it. If you're wondering, Rear is when the camera shoots the flash off at the end of the cycle during an exposure, rather than in the beginning. Congrats on the cam, I've got a D70 myself. I really like that shot of your cousin, looks great.

To add to the rear sync description, if you're using a slow speed on something that's bright enough to show outside of the flash exposure, you'll have a motion blur. The rear sync puts the flash at the end of the motion blur, the normal sync puts it at the beginning.

Normal sync: FLASH!!! solid exposure, now there's blur on top of it while the curtain remains open during your exposure. Things move away from the flash exposure.

Rear sync: Shutter opens, things move during the exposure . . . FLASH!!!! Finish with frozen well-exposed image. Things move towards the flash exposure.

I've experimented with this on my 8008 film SLR, but such experiments are more expensive than a digital with a delete button. :sly:
